The difference between composing and arrangement (1 Viewer)

I'm a clueless Moguri in regard to creating music, so I always read those words but I actually never understood what those people actually do (and I often see the same people do both)

Can someone explain it for me?

If you compose something, then you create a completely new song
If you arrange it, then you usually use an already existing beat and create something new out of it

Composing would be the person creating their own words/sound of Music as many dj’s I’ve seen.
Arranging: That would be instrumental or written music already there ( however it’s not your own creation ) This is where many artists begin fan wars with another accusing of plagiarism.

oh while i understand what you mean, I'm still more confused now

I mean for all the new songs they always provide the information who wrote the lyrics, who composed it and who produced / arranged it.. but according to the explanation, you either compose or arrange??

In my opinion, if you’re doing the process you would be the composer.

If the person who does the arrangement is someone else to who composed it, are they not getting into arguments sometimes as the composer might think their work gets ruined?

Creative friction certainly would happen in those cases where the composer and production/arrangement aren't seeing eye-to-eye. In a perfect scenario, the person(s) doing the composing are also good at production or doing arrangements so they would handle both sides of it.
