Even the artists that do make money they don't care about unless it hits a quota for them like Gfriend was bringing in profit without even having a comeback and the debt Source Music got into with Hybe was money given to Source Music as an investment into Le Sserafim since it was a shared project

HYBE is a corporation and unfortunately a lot of braindead people think that if you don't like HYBE then you hate their favorite signed underneath them. They will continue to purchase as many competitors as possible until they are able to control the entire industry. I won't criticise them for buying Source Music since they have always been close business partners, but I am genuinely worried for the future of K-Pop if they acquire more shares in SM. People can dislike Kakao all they want, but their market influence is nothing compared to HYBE or SM even if you include Starship, EDAM, and IST in the K-Pop industry. A corporation is amoral and only exists to make money for shareholders, and it is the government's job to prevent any sole corporation from becoming a monopoly. Unfortunately, Korea's entire economic growth was created by chaebols and mega-corporations and I see the Korean FTC would have no problem letting yet another monopoly form in the K-Pop industry. The Korean government is completely bought out by every corporation in the country and will never do anything to challenge them.

YG their market cap is under a third of sm and jyp problem may be shares. YG already distributes hybe music.
