Appreciation What's your favorite kpop concert you've been to so far? (and why?) (1 Viewer)

I'm just curious about which concerts have been the best experience and what made them so great! I personally haven't been to any concerts yet but hopefully, I can go to one when I have the money too. K-pop groups/idols don't really come to my state either so I would have to drive for a long time to go to one. I would probably just drive to Canada instead though since it is closer and I would be able to explore it while going to a concert there.

I've heard some of their songs and they are pretty good. I don't really stan them but they do have amazing talent though.

They had lots of energy live, which I always appreciate. It helps makes things more fun when everyone is dancing and singing.

I am kind of going back and forth between P1harmony's 2022 tour vs. 2023 tour. I liked that the 2022 one was a smaller venue and felt more intimate, but you can tell that they worked a lot harder to one upped themselves with the tour right after with the setlist and performances. It was definitely better quality.

Next time, I'll probably save up so I can get seats that are a bit better (ideally the pit but idk we'll see).

Tbh I've been to two concerts, Itzy and NCT 127, but I'd say the overall experience is a tie. They both had good aspects and not as good aspects (not relating to music or performances or members, stuff like having to drive far and my phone dying and whatnot). The concerts themselves were both amazing

I liked that the 2022 one was a smaller venue and felt more intimate, but you can tell that they worked a lot harder to one upped themselves with the tour right after with the setlist and performances. Wow, that's so lucky. I really want to go to an NCT 127 concert but I have to wait until I'm older because their concerts are not the most appropriate if you get what I mean. Especially Johnny's solo in the Neo City the Link concert.

A close second is KCON NY 2018. The lineup for the first night was this: Golden Child, Heize, Pentagon, Red Velvet, Super Junior. Just before the last member of Pentagon left the stage (they normally have a short break between acts), they sprang this surprise on us:



It was the first time anyone heard the English version of Bad Boy. My mouth was hanging open the whole time.

I've been to a few other KCONs, and I've seen BTS, Twice, NCT 127, Seventeen, Gfriend, Stray Kids and others, but that night in 2018 will always be memorable to me.

i've been to a lot of kpop concerts BUT TWICE's was just on another level. THE GIRLIES PUT SO MUCH EFFORT INTO THEIR PERFORMANCES AND EVEN THE ENCORE ONES, it was completely worth the fortune

Hmm i saw all the Red Velvet; Red room and Red mare shows in Korea, Red mare in Dallas and Miami fan meet in Chicago.

All 3 days of IZ*ONE Eyes on me in Seoul.

Tiffany in a club here in town.

MCountdown on the 2019 trip.

any Korean show is far and away better than a US show just because the fans are nicer an more invested.

Tiffany was an exception to that statement, was awesome since it was a small venue and i got to do the fan chant for Run devil run and the majority of the fans were older.

I would pick either ay 3 of red room just because of the growth of the members , by day 3 they had relaxed and knew it was their show and really took the time they wanted.

Day 1 of IZ*ONE i had my best location actually, day 1red room also right at teh back stage. .

it all 3 days closing comments from the girls. to long to watch for most ..


red room wins i just had way to much fun and met a bunch of very nice fans, and the venue was better. Smaller but better.

i know fans get all geeked about the status of stadium shows but in my experience they are awful .. like really really bad in comparison.

BTW, one thing I find special about Kpop concerts is that the fansites are very active. Some give out banners for fans to hold up at various times during the concert. Here's the one I have from Newark, New Jersey:

I agree. And it's one of the few Kpop songs that don't have cringey English lyrics.

On one of the fan videos of that performance you can hear a girl to the side saying "What the f---! What the f---! ..." the whole time. Which would be really annoying if you're trying to hear the song, but I'd understand.

even individual member fan sites make stuff to hand out.

and i got lots and lots of fan made photo cards/slogans/ banners ect for crazy cheap.
