Kim Doah, she was an contestant on Produce 48 and Girls Planet 999

she was pretty popular on Produce 48, when Mnet suddenly decided to cut her screentime down to zero
Doah is from a small company, but quickly got popular bc of her stage presence, dance and rap skills

and basically the same happened on GP999

Doah debuted under a girl group called Fanatics, who sadly made headlines when one of their managers hit one of the members
The girls really deserved better

She’s so beautiful, it’s a huge shame that she didn’t make it into Kep1er at least. I’m glad she has the etude house gig, she’s a perfect fit for that brand.

Doah is great. But pd 48 Nayoung was stronger and she did not make it either.
gp999 the voting system was so fubar. her Cell was strong. going with salute did not help. for the most part since pd 101 the benefit really only helps kids on the extreme edge.

The problem with survival / popularity shows is not so much the overt rigging like what happened to Chowon and Kaeun, and all the boys.

its all in the voting. Sure screen time subtly in the spin of the show makes a difference but the pd gotta make a call the tv needs to be entertaining.
The ratings on these shows as it is are bad.

But the voting system hurts more than it helps.

Koreans/kpopies are masters of tactical voting. What ever they do less than full group voting should be gone.

They are in love with one pick because of AKB, but that works because its a crazy controlled and closed system.
if every person who votes had to buy a cd/ or a specific merch then maybe one pick can be used. The akb votes are per cd or per paid membership,a significant cost and a dime a vote like the pd 48 final is not gonna cut it.

once you tie ppl to payment methods it would go a long way towards removing the cheating. and you already know ppl are willing to fork out cash for teh group so the monetization model will be more clear.
