not really they have been counting 4th gen since what 17-18 thats 5 years +They're really jumping the gun when the 4th just started![]()
No man don't say that it's been that long it feels like a drop in the oceannot really they have been counting 4th gen since what 17-18 thats 5 years +
heck i would put the girls at 5th gen starting with IVE since they came from a 4th gen group.
and the 'end ' of the pandemic is also a natural break point. every thing changed. No man don't say that it's been that long it feels like a drop in the oceanI've already lived through two generations of kpop then
I wouldn't say Ive are 5th generation for that reason since then you'd also have to do the same to the post I.O.I groups which would be a mess and the only way I see Ive and Iz*One being separate generations is if you start 4th generation at 2019 then that'd put Iz*One at the tail end of 3rd generation but other than that they'd be the same generation reallynot really they have been counting 4th gen since what 17-18 thats 5 years +

Well if exo and bts are 3rd gen and they tend to split 2nd gen into 2 and 2.5 which i think is silly if it change it change make it a new gen :) i think 2018 is a good split.I wouldn't say Ive are 5th generation for that reason since then you'd also have to do the same to the post I.O.I groups which would be a mess and the only way I see Ive and Iz*One being separate generations is if you start 4th generation at 2019 then that'd put Iz*One at the tail end of 3rd generation but other than that they'd be the same generation really
The 2.5 Generation split is just very questionable since people tend to focus on the shift from sexy girl groups being popular like Sistar and AOA going into Red Velvet and Gfriend while ignoring the existence of Apink also being popular with a cute concept.Well if exo and bts are 3rd gen and they tend to split 2nd gen into 2 and 2.5 which i think is silly if it change it change make it a new gen :) i think 2018 is a good split.
and IOI had nowhere near the spill over effect of pd 48. actual successful groups came out of pd 48. IOI really only has gidle 2-3 years after it aired.
Depending on when you consider 4th gen as starting, 4th gen may have lasted longer than 3rd gen alreadyThey're really jumping the gun when the 4th just started![]()
Yeah I forgot what year it isDepending on when you consider 4th gen as starting, 4th gen may have lasted longer than 3rd gen alreadyLike if you count 2017 as the end of 3rd gen like some do then 3rd gen lasted about 5 years and 4th gen so far about 6. No matter when you count 4th gen as beginning though most people probably put it somewhere in the 2017-2019 range. So 4th gen is, for most people, at least 4 years old approximately, which isn't that short.
