I wish I could be homeschooled... Or whatever the fuck I can besides actually going to school and classes.

I learn 10x as much when I am learning by myself and teaching myself than I do in school in lessons. Not to mention that in the lessons I am more bored than at any time else in my life and still end up teaching myself all the materials.

I hate school. I hate dumbing myself down to the national avarage. I hate the numbing boredom of sitting in my seat and scribbling flowers for the 100th time of the day! I hate sitting in a math lesson, finished with all the exercies and understanding the topic, but having to pretend to pay attention because otherwise I will be scolded.

I hate the tests and I hate the teachers and I just hate school in general. I wish i could just take whatever exams needed and finish highschool in a few months. I wish I could do that and be done with it but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The law states I have to go to and finish a school. No option to just take the tests....

I have to sit in a classroom full of idiots for 6 hours 5 days of the week and pretend to be interested.

I know this post belong in r/Iamverysmart but I don't care.... I am on the verge of being kicked out of school for skipping too many lessons so I am just so done and tired. I can't be kicked out of school, bcs I want to get into a good university and get a good job... But god I hate school...

Meditating and daydreaming is already what I do... That is exactly the problem. When not in class I could do more interesting things! And if I daydream I am very obviously not paying attention to the teacher.

And with the gameboy, it would be the same thing as with my phone. I would be in my phone if I could, but some teachers are threathening to take it away during lessons if I don't stop so.... yeah...

Between being left by my friends, the piles of homework & classwork I have, and dealing with all of my illnesses...
It’s too much to handle and I honestly wish there was a program that specialized in getting kids into the career they wanna do, not learn about if y=x

I actually liked high school a lot so I can't really relate.. I wonder if there is subject you haven't just taken you would like? Can you plan what subjects you study? And I think how enjoyable subjects are depend on teachers a lot, I just picked whatever teachers I clicked with and dropped subjects with more.. well idiotic teachers can't put it nicely ^^;

Well if you can't plan or there is no subject that interests you- or with good teacher, at least it's over soon and you will be able to do more interesting things?

School is Estonia and in Finland are really different.

We don't get to choose what we learn. Well, we do a for like a few of the courses, but most of it is mandatory.

And I do like a lot of the subjects like Maths and English and History and so on... With some I don't even mind the teachers... It is the horribly slow pace the lessons go at!

Only around half of the people to high school since it's not mandatory education, I'm only one in my family and close relatives actually and mostly cause I like to study. You have mandatory courses, some subjects more than others, but you can choose at least half of your studies and also what you will focus on and have final exam on. So I could decide a lot based on what subjects I liked and was good in, what teachers I got along and what not and what my friends picked. I liked high school most from education I have gotten in how it was organized cause there was good balance of structure and freedom. Uni is too much freedom, I can go months without hearing from anyone xd

But hwaiting until you can get to where you can be more in charge of what you study and want : )

Yeah finland is very different.

We have 3 set exams and are free to choose 1 ourselves. Estonian, Math and English (well technically I think it can be any language besides your 1st one... But most choose English) are mandatory.

On finals? Well we have pretty much similar mandatories. Mother tongue (Finnish) for everyone, then pick two between math, English and Swedish. And you have to choose at least 1 another subject, but you decide. I chose History and took Biology as extra.

Elementary school and equilevant of junior high sucks though ^^; And i'd prefer more structure and mandatory things in uni, it has led to point where we rarely have contact lectures I mean lectures where you go and just don't watch from your screen..
