(These are the people who I wanted to apologize to the most: @MK3AM , @ManduBun , @Cupid , @Yerichu, @Jungwonie , @Yachii , @sunflower , @centen , @Pyxidis , @Exi , @DarthYouChanious, and @roses_are_rosie.) Hello everyone. I have something important to say: @adoriiq is actually me. I made that account because I felt like people didn't like me on this one because of how negative and rude I was due to my depression and anxiety. I seemed much more popular on that account and people seemed to like my personality on that one much more compared to my real personality on this account. I just feel like it would be nice to start a new chapter and since I already knew what most users on here liked, I was able to fake that I liked it too so they would like me better. I have told many lies and I am very sorry. Here are the truths about some of the lies:
I'm not an ENGENE. Jay is somewhat my bias but it always switches between him and Hesseung. (said to Jungwonie so we would get along)
I've never listened to Melanie Martinez besides her song "Playdate" and I don't know enough to be a fan. (said to different fans so we could grow closer)
Haechan and Renjun are not my favs in NCT, it always switches but it's actually mostly Mark, Johnny, Jaemin, or Taeyong. (said to sunflower since I knew those were his faves and we could get along better)
I ended my quotes with "Have a good day/night!" because I knew DarthYouChanious did that and we would have something in common plus I seemed more polite.
I used lots of emojis and hearts in order to be polite.
I pretended that I was very positive so more people would like me.
Jisoo isn't my bias in Blackpink and I'm not really a BLINK even. (I said this so I could join another fandom and I could make more friends)
I have no idea who Intak or Keeho is. (I said that I did so I would get along with ManduBun better)
Bang Chan isn't my bias in Stay Kids, Felix is. (I said that he was so I would get along with DarthYouChanious better)
I don't stan SNSD, any J-pop group, P1Harmony, Oh my girl, Nmixx, or (G)I-DLE (I pretended I did so I could get along with other people and fandoms)
My bias in Nmixx isn't Haewon, I don't have one.

I'm sorry for all the lies I told. I understand if you don't forgive me because I do deserve it but I felt too guilty about this so that is why I wanted to make this thread.

First of all, thank you for apologizing. While lying isn’t great, I can understand why you did it. I know way too well the feeling of wanting everyone to like you. You were wrong though: I’m pretty sure we all liked you the way you were. You didn’t need to lie to us to make us like you more.

I have a friend in real life. Once, for the past few times we had met, I was always having a rough day or feeling sad or angry. At one point I apologized to them about it because I didn’t want to ruin their day and worried I was probably being annoying. I texted them the apology so I wouldn’t forget to tell them in person since my memory isn’t the greatest. The next time we met in person, they pulled me aside, looked at my text message and told me that it wasn’t annoying at all and not to feel like I had to pretend my feelings around them. If someone is really your friend, they (usually) won’t be that annoyed by your constant complaining and if anything will want to help you.

Also, let me tell you something else about this friend: we have very little in common. Our music tastes are drastically different from mine, I’m a girly girl and she’s more of a tomboy, she’s good at singing and I’m not, she’s lived in many different places and I’ve spent most of my life in generally the same place and so on. Yet, we’re still friends. I can count on one hand the number of things we have in common, and yet that doesn’t bother me and I still platonically love her as a friend. Having something in common can be a great starting point for a friendship, but it doesn’t have to be the only reason why you’re friends at all. In fact, opposites attract.

Also, I don’t mind that you stole my catchphrase or my bias. In fact, keep using it, I kind of want it to spread a bit more. Just so you know, I still liked you the same either way. I wouldn’t like MK3AM any more or less if she had different Stray Kids biases (she has three, I have four, and we only have one bias in common). Believe me, I learned the very hard way that just because you share a bias with someone does not mean that you’ll suddenly become besties for life. Besides, me and MK3AM both have Felix as a bias, so maybe instead of joining the Chan club with me and mudd, you can join the Felix club with me, MK3AM, tickita and Elcipsoul instead.

All in all, lying is bad, and please, don’t ever feel like you have to lie about yourself to make friends. Just be yourself. The friends you make while being yourself will be just as good or better than the friends you make while pretending to be someone you’re not. Also, I did like you before, and I liked your new account the same amount, so do with that information what you will. I also never saw you complain all that much, and even if you did, so what? We all have bad days and getting it off of your chest can help a lot. I’m pretty sure most people from the other side remember how much I vented and complained in both the Random Thoughts threads and they didn’t mind too much (or if they did, they at least didn’t tell me).

Hell, back in the mid '00s, I pretended I listened to rock and metal just so I could fit in with the users on an old forum I used to go on. I still do listen to rock, actually (pop punk), but that's not my point. lol My point is, just because some people weren't okay with who you are (and I don't see why they wouldn't be - you're a great girl), doesn't mean you have to change yourself.

I've known that what you did there isnt so common here but yet on other forums yes
It may trigger people that you fake who you are but ima be honest here, Im glad u did the right thing and spoke sooner than later. I'm the same with myself, when I was young, irl, I used to also fake my likes and dislikes but now growing up, I have to accept myself for self love cause I've been told if you can't love yourself, Love for other relationships won't be the same
I should probably mention also sadly that I dont live the best irl yet I may here, im not the type that everyone is nice with
No, I'm not a mean person but just more different from majority that I've known of, I'd say I come from a strict level but myself I try to carry a more balanced approach

I'd just say that we all at some point still not know who we are. I'd tell ya that I've live with people also also suffer the same as you and it's not easy dealing with the mental struggles

you don't have to pretend to like any kpop group/idol as most of those ppl are multis anyways, and there are ppl who like nugu groups regardless of how many others do, like me

When I was in middle school, this guy I had a HUGE crush on was into John Mayer, so I looked up all of his songs and learned the lyrics so I could have a reason to approach the guy, and hoped it would make him like me because I liked the same things. (It... did not work out.)

So I can't speak for anyone else, but I get it. And as @litc said above, I'm a huge multi. It's fine if you're not into (G)I-DLE, or hell, even if none of our faves overlap at all, feel free to share what you do like with me, and I'm glad to check them out. I've listened to a lot of P1H for @ManduBun and they know I'm obsessed with FIFTY FIFTY these days, lol. It's fun to share in each other's joy, even if we don't have the same level of adoration for the specific artist. Plus I think all of us have other hobbies and interests too, so if you're into reading or crafting or whatever, feel free to share! I like seeing what other people like.
