Calling plant people! (1 Viewer)

I'm pretty sure at this point that I over-watered my philanendron. Two of the leaves have started yellowing and the whole plant seems sad.

But it doesn't seem dead. I got my philanendron because the plant store said they're hard to kill (and one of them is fine!). Usually, my plants are either alive or I rapidly destroy them by accident.

So... What do I do? Just leave it alone and hope it bounces back? I've never half-maybe-killed a plant before.

This reminds me of an interesting scifi trilogy I read. People had messed with plants to be really active with obtaining nutrients for themselves, and this genetic modification over time resulted in plants being literally willing to chase and eat people. So the people of this world had to be very careful when they had to go out into the forests, because they still needed wood for houses and plants for food.

Yes! It's by M.R Carey, and starts with The Book of Koli. I really liked it. It was interesting reading where the world itself was a threat to their existence; usually those types of stories have other people be the sole source of the conflict to the story.

Thank you!! Yeah, I'm pretty sure my problem is overwatering this one. It was in a different pot than my other philodendron, so I think I misjudged how dry it was getting and overdid it.
