That was actually the concept for the group GP Basic: their average age was 13. Their debut sparked new broadcasting regulations. There was a 12-year-old in the group and it was actually her second debut: she had first debuted in the group Sweety when she was 10. (Ages by Korean age.)

It's weird to see the pendulum swing back towards super young debuts again.

Kep1er yeseo debuted at 5 and despite being the maknae of kep1er and 15 when gp999 started airing has already been in 3 ggs

1 - a kids gg when she was 5
2 - busters with a maknae concept and everyone debuting at 13-15, yeseo debuted at 13
3 - kep1er at 16

she’s only 17 rn and already has over 12 yrs as an idol and had the second most experience as an idol on queendom s2 after hyolyn who debuted just a few months before her (yeseo debuted December 2010)

Honestly, there's a good amount of idols on survival shows like that where it likely would've been their last chance to debut solely because of their age... despite not even being that old to begin with.
