Exactly. I don't need to be "proper" by using a fork. It's literally one of those finger foods.
I've been using my hands to eat them since the first time I've visited a fast food place.
Also, they usually do not provide forks.

Hands but if the fries have cheese or a lot of sauce, I use a fork
