Only romeo and juliet and dracula for school, but the teacher teaching it was very engaing so studying them was cool. Romeo and juliet itself was very good, didnt like dracula though

Tolkien Shakespeare Dickens Orwell(x2) Golding Austen Bronte Shelby Lewis Addams Stroker (Irish do not call him British lol ) ect more than half the list is England..

Zusak is Australian,

heck its shorter to list the Americans ...

Well the majority are England / Great Britain
just a hand full are actually American

oh and i read or at least started all ( some like lotr have over 20 rereads )
but
bronte, eyre, purple, and the kite runner( i was soo out of that type of reading by the early 2000's totaly into scifi fantasy some spy thriller by then.)

prob the closest to classic/ popular reading was the da vinci code set.

If you count it by birthplace you can take Tolkien off the list, though if you consider where he lived it would make sense to include him

lol i had never looked to see where he was born (although i would still call it British empire ish ) since i identify him so much with oxford.
i do love one of the quotes where some was coming at about a definition .. and he was like i wrote the dictionary...

For me it depends on the book. For Shakespeare I think skipping Romeo and Juliet is totally okay because it really sucks imo.
