if you stan your group for their songs or because u like the group and their chemistry?

I've seen some fans say this about different fandoms and i wonder if it happened to you guys, or to someone u knew?

tbh i dont stan any groups anymore, only occasionally listen to their music and look at their outfits for fashion design purposes but even during my peak kpop stan era i was mostly there for the music and fashion concepts, give me good cinematic visuals and ill most likely enjoy it

i personally dont care much about chemistry unless its very awfully fake
like some groups have so horrible actors its painful to watch them try to be close when they arent, id rather them be distant on camera

Both are nice but music takes the priority. After all a lot of groups fake their chemistry and I'm under no delusion that all the groups I love have an exceptionally strong bond with every member and will die for them or whatever.

I don't see a problem with it if someone likes the group, the members' personalities, etc. better.
Also, I don't always like my fav groups' music, but I still support them. I will not pretend that I like the music when I don't.
But I think the perfect is when you like both.

honestly some groups I don’t find funny and all

but some I liked talent or smth then relistenef and their music grew, mostly ggs I like less ggs first listen while most bgs first song I heard from them was on repeat (of ones I like)

Both, but music always comes first. I don't want to stan a group if it's only for the visuals, They have to put out good music for me to even consider it. (I'm sure that's true for most K-pop fans lol but me too)

That's interesting, I never heard of people doing that before. Personally, I stan for both the music and the chemistry, amongst other things. I've never stanned a group that genuinely felt like just coworkers, but I'd imagine that that would suck all the life out of the experience for me as a fan if I did.
