The concept is still solid. The 2 semi gfriend songs in PD 48 Might have worked especially 1000% ( although i like I wish more)
If they can sell worthwhile digitals and 80K + Physicals why jack it up?

Actually GFRIEND'S digital index was the highest of GGs 2019 (Sunrise, that is) until like a week ago, so everybody be flopping

I honestly like them the way they are rn and I don't see SouMu putting in the effort to revamp them, especially if they're rolling out another gg. An innocent concept is kinda hard to get out of. Given how old Gfriend are and how badly Fingertip performed, I don't think there's much they can do that'd get a warm reception.

They're physicals are riding and they're doing concerts.
I don't think they need to worry about digital performance that much.

Fingertip brought in quite a large scale of fans though. Though digitally they may declined, their physical sales were on the rise after Fingertip. Oh and also, if we're going by charts, Fingertip and Sunrise are not all that different lol. Fingertip might have even performed better.

They weren't catchy enough for my taste.


I don't know where they should go honestly.

Hell I'd love Rough 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, etc every single time.... (I don't see the similarity to Sunrise) but i know that ain't happening.

I'd be down for a Fingertip like comeback again. Don't know if it'll play well in Korea.

Hopefully they'd be more inclined to follow them there this time.

I can't believe I'm actually saying this but I need to be completely honest here. I probably won't ever say this in that other forum because it's teeming with GFriend antis but I actually would be 100% down for a pop song that is different from their signature sound. I do love Sunrise as a song really and the whole album was great and all but I wouldn't mind them changing it up. I just realized that I haven't really listened to Sunrise that much. I keep going back to school trilogy + Navi + LW I hate that I'm saying this because their "anime" sound is what attracted me in the first place but I haven't been feeling it for a while now tbh.
