really now???? even after two CL injuries still???

I mean talk about perseverance and all that

back on topic - wouldn't that be running since everyone can do it
They’re dangerous ofc, but I’d be better at doing either of those (once healthy) than another sport. For example, say running. If you’re doing it as a sport you’re doing it at a much much higher level than the average person could do. If I tried to keep up with a slightly trained runner when healthy I’d flop big time. But ask me to do a back handspring (before my injury) and I’d be like yeah easy stuff.

that is true but I guess the activity itself is easy since it really doesn't require that much skill...
I was thinking that the knowledge/skill gap for someone to get into something like gymnastics is greatly higher than running for example

I actually wouldn’t agree all that much. Beginner gymnastics isn’t all that hard either, just like beginner running isn’t that hard. I’d you’re talking how intricate something is maybe, but running isn’t the only sport without that. If gymnastics needed less specialized equipment and such I think people wouldn’t be looking at gymnastics and thinking it’s exceptionally difficult because they’d have opportunity to do so themselves also. On the other hand, cheerleading is thought to be a super easy activity not even worthy of being a sport because they’re exposed to very beginner and sometimes not even cheerleading cheerleaders, which skews their view of it. So tldr I think peoples exposure and chance to practice certain activities greatly skews their idea of how difficult the activity is and is the real cause for their perceived view of the difficulty of it, more than the actual difficulty of the sport itself.

I think it's because running is a basic human function??? like everybody can run (normal people with the appropriate limbs) whereas even like you mentioned one needs additional equipment to undertake gymnastics and additional funds whereas someone can just start running without all the additional equipment or expenses...

I guess I'm referring to the barriers of entry of running vs cheerleading vs gymnastics and my thoughts are that running will be easier

Yeah in the sense of gymnastics being more specialized running would be easier. I was more thinking of how they differ in skill level and those types of aspects with the assumption that things like money and availability aren’t considered. But it just depends on what the idea of easier it I guess.

Table tennis. It seems hard 'cos the likelihood of the ball flying off the table is super high, but that's also what makes it so easy, because most of the time the ball is flying off the table :wimwim:
I was thinking the same.
