Hello! I know, I know, I have a lot of explaining to do, so rest assured, I'll do that now, in the form of a Q & A here.
1) Where have you been?
My best answer I can give is living life and trying my best to enjoy it. It's been a rollercoaster, but more good than bad and even fun in some ways. All that being said, I'm ready to come back on here. I miss you all too much to stay away. Besides, I recently felt myself drifting away from K-Pop in general, and I didn't want that to happen. I get that it will eventually, but it felt too soon and too important to me to let go of so easily, so I thought that coming back on here and surrounding myself with such wonderful K-Pop fans would remind me of the joy it brings me. These past couple days I've been listening to more K-Pop songs and that's been helping a bit.
2) Why did you leave?
I first left to focus on school. Finals were around the corner and I wanted to do well on them. I didn't and my grades were very bad, but that had way more to do with procrastination than anything else to be honest, so K-Pop is not to blame for that. After that, it was work. For those of you who do not know, back in the middle of March, I got a job at a local movie theater. Once school got out, I started working way more hours so I could save up money over the summer. The past two pay periods, I picked up enough shifts and worked so many double shifts within the same day that for the past month, despite it being a part time job, I've been averaging more than 90 hours per two week pay period. That's more than a fair number of full-time jobs.
What else have I been up to? I joined a choir which is very casual, but very fun. They don't care how bad I sing since it's all just for fun, and it's doing wonders to help me get over my bad singing voice, not care as much about what other people think of it and even improve my singing! I've been playing the BLACKPINK video game, which is fun. I've been hanging out with my friends in real life whenever I have time off of work to do so. I watched both Elemental and Spiderverse and absolutely loved both and have seen both several times (I watched Spiderverse six times and Elemental twice so far). The perks of getting to see unlimited free movies because of my job.
3) When will you be back?
That's hard to say for sure. Every time I plan on coming back, something else in my life gets in the way or comes up. This definitely won't be the last you see of me though. You can't get rid of me that easily. I plan on coming back as often as I can, but given how busy I am, we'll see. I came back today because I had no work all day, no plans and felt bored and I remembered how awesome you all are and wanted to come back to check up on you. Hopefully I'll be back for a while, but I can sadly make no promises except you'll certainly see me again.
4) Are you going to change your aesthetic soon?
Yep! No idea to what though. Maybe something Elemental or Barbie relate? I'm open to ideas and suggestions. Also, I don't know where else to mention this, so I'll just say it here. In case you couldn't tell earlier, I've been a bit out of the loop in terms of K-Pop recently. I know about Stray Kids' new Title Track and Youtiful is amazing, I heard Fifty Fifty multiple times on the radio (once even the Korean version of Cupid!) and even Queencard on there once too, which was a very nice surprise to me. I know about the controversy with The Idol and Jennie and the whole mess that is turning out to be. I'll make a thread about that if you're curious about my thoughts on the matter, but if you're tired of hearing about it, since it's been literally everywhere, I'll keep to myself about it. All of Loona is free from what I've heard, so congratulations to them on that. I also know that Ateez released a new song, but I haven't checked it out yet (or most of the B-Sides on Stray Kid's album even) and I'm not sure why. Besides all that, feel free and tell me what I missed in the K-Pop world.
I really missed you all so much and I sincerely hope you forgive me for leaving so suddenly. I really need to quit doing that. I haven't gone through my 366+ notifications or my 6 dm's yet, but I will as soon as I can. Iam happy to be back and hopefully I'll actually stay for longer this time. As always, have a great day/night!
