some misconceptions I had when I first scanned Kpop (2 Viewers)

So, I got into Kpop October 2014. And let me tell you, I had some big misconceptions, so here's a list of misconceptions I had with Kpop when I first started~
(I encourage others to create a thread as well, we can be embarrassed together! ^-^)

- This may be a common one, but I thought SNSD and Girls' Generation were two different groups (I didn't realize they were the same until a saw a pic of SNSD's Tiffany and Girls' Generation's Tiffany and thought they looked oddly similar lmao)

- I thought that BoA owned SM Ent

- I thought that JYJ and TVXQ were sub-units of DBSK until I learned about the whole lawsuit thing lmao

- I thought that members of a group that had solos had left the group... (I thank the American Music industry for that)

- I thought that the visual of a group and the face of a group were the same thing

- I thought that Girls' Day was just a derivation of Girls' Generation (no clue how that happened)

- I thought that BTOB was pronounced B-TOB and not B-TO-B (I hope this makes sense)

- I thought that fan chants were created by fans lmao

And that's what I can think of rn lmao, I grew a lot as a kpop stan <3
