Show here is some of what i see.

nothing but BTS survived let alone thrived from 2013.

Wanna 1 and IZ*one clearly the class of the produce groups. the boys just barely passed W1.

Sales wise yg has BP his vaunted boy groups way behind.

3rd gen gg Twice , Bp, and Red Velvet sell like boy groups. aside from bts exo and 17

4 the gen sales are orders of magnitude larger.
ie ppl think of Kep1er as pretty floppy but 1.2 is huge.

in many cases for girls to get on the list they have be huge or last the full 7 years. until IVE NJ Ssera.
not sure why all teh bg in 21 and 22 failed .

Dreamcatcher with 961,646 copies. Not bad for a K-Pop group that is possibly more popular in the West than in South Korea.

But yeah there is some cut off point when selling 1mil+ become the new norm for the top groups, old groups that managed to transition into that era can now boost there numbers greatly, like the ones you mentioned but also groups that are late bloomers like G-Idle. What I mean to say: the majority of those really high sales numbers come form the last 2 years in most cases.

I also think Treasure did quite well for YG standards, so I'm even more surprised how little care they get.. also YG in general seems to be lacking behind a lot, their questionable business tactics (I mean not giving their groups comebacks), reflect really poorly sales wise. Even BP despite all their glory, will be surpassed by new groups like IVE and NewJeans when they come back next time respectively.

I'm going to list the ones that shocked me

2013 - The entirety of the list is just shocking bar Infinite H (BTS having sold 39M+ albums domestically is wild)
2014 - Jannabi (they're rock so wasn't suprised I'd never heard of them)
2020 - Drippin shocked me even with their rank
2021 - MIRAE being that high up shocked me a bit ngl. They may finish their careers off as a million seller just barely
2022 - ATBO having sold that many is really surprising.
2023 - 8Turn is probably going to surpass 100K album sales in their first year and I'm super thrilled

YG stans mantra has always been the digital performance(they claim quality ...). i mean bp albums are a joke song wise 2 songs does not an album make. Nor 8 for a full album. look at say taylors song count.

IZ*ONE for whatever reason was the fulcrum for the girl group album explosion. Part of that was IZ*ONE monetized their fans better than any kpop act except BTS and its close. on a per fan basis they got crazy amounts of sales.
Before them
100k per comeback was darn near unreachable, except for big 3 gg. gfriend for example could never get over that line.

Just a small correction, circle is not domestic only (its the former Gaon chart), so I that should be BTS total sales worldwide!

so if ktown, yesasia ect got 100k that counts as longa as they are part of teh circle/gaon system. not all are.
Hanto is sales from hanto affiliated stores. There are less hanto sellers than Circle which is why the numbers are different often, especially older numbers.

yeah I thought because of non stop / dolphin era they would have a bigger fandom now, but it seems to not translate like that

Twice has a big lead, but it all depends on how much music they keep releasing and how long their new contract lasts. I can see NewJeans surspassing them later down the road if they keep growing like this

Sales to people in Japan from gaon affiliates would be.
ie if tower records Japan is a gaon member selling Korean versions of albums.
but oofc Japanese releases are not counted by gaon, those are in oricon or billboard
