After waiter robots became increasingly employed in restaurants across several countries, South Korea is now using cooking robots with a specific task: frying fried chicken. Fried chicken is always on the menu at nearly every fast food restaurant in South Korea. This dish is a favorite food among South Koreans.

Due to the high number of customers and fans of fried chicken, entrepreneur Kang Ji-young (38) came up with the idea to use robots to fry his chicken in all of his "Robert Chicken" restaurants.

Kang's robot has simple and flexible mechanical arms. The robot is able to fry 100 chickens in just two hours. It takes at least five people and several pans to be able to fry that much.
