There's the chance theyre inhumanly handled and cared for and it breaks my heart seeing some horse break their legs in sports like races.

Well they got 9th for eventing team in Tokyo, not exactly first but that doesn’t seem that bad realistically. 1st in the Asian games for eventing individual and team too. I can’t claim to know how scoring works and which places it’s easier to get a spot but those don’t sound that bad to me.

Yeah, though plenty of sports are super sus in that sense people wise too, so while it’s obviously bad for animals to be inhumanely trained I think the same thing for people is also pretty bad.

Well yes but there's over 190 countries in the world, a lot of them didnt make it to the Olympics, let alone the podium So wouldn't they have to be not that terrible to beat all of the competitors below them?

i mean yeah that kinda makes sense if you looking like that its like when i was doing judo when i was a kid, i was getting demolished by everyone in the tournament but i was still better than all those spectators so i wasn't the worst in the arena

Yeah it's always about your perspective. If I compare myself to Simone Biles I was a beyond pathetic gymnast, if I compare myself to the average KS user I was pretty good Unless there's a random horde of elite gymnasts sneaking around on here but I have a sneaking suspicion there isnt

Ngl when I was at one of the higher levels I was at I performed a routine in front of everyone on my team the day before a meet and fell 6 times, including in a part where I just walked My coach asked me to please not compete like that the next day
