The 1st movie is my favorite They really went hard on the Pokemon battles in the past. Now they've softened up the violence to make it more kid-friendly.

Those character descriptions crack me up. As someone who completed Kanto and Johto, Misty is in fact always nagging. Damn I miss the old voice actors so much especially Team Rocket's. They gave so much life to the characters Pokemon is probably one of those anime where I prefer the dub from the sub.

I have just watched the first season in Finnish dub so I don't have any idea of sub and english dub xd I did hate when they changed voice actors once a while, especially if there was big difference. Somehow Meowth always got completely different voice. Also I have tried to watch more recent eps with finnish dub, but they have changed the language to really slangy wannabe-teenager talk I can't stand it xd

Though if I find more recent seasons I try to watch them with English dub. I watched some with subs recently and they had these random songs in the middle wtf this isn't disney Pokemon is one of few things I prefer with dub, both finnish (though recent sucks) and english.

Yup they are pretty great with Pokemon. Usually I avoid dubs, but with pokemon you are just so used to character and pokemon names being the western version too xd

Yup they are pretty great with Pokemon. Usually I avoid dubs, but with pokemon you are just so used to character and pokemon names being the western version too xd

I started watching it at age 6 to 7, definitely first anime I watched. Probably first cartoon too, I don't remember I was big into watching tv as small child, before school age I mean, I was most of the time either playing outside or video games on pc, but I remember going to my cousins house tha lived next door and all my cousins and me and my sister would watch the episodes together :d

There was lot of cartoons that came out later on that I watched and had no idea they were anime, I didn't have much concept of Japan even back then xd I don't think american cartoons were even shown in tv that much when I was kid, it was mostly anime and especially bit older animes from 80s and 90s, even 70s that they showed :)

I used to go to my neighbor, who was my childhood friend, and we would watch Pokemon which was on Toonami together. Good times.
