Adults of KPS can you tell me if you've had bad experiences getting loans?

Student, auto, personal, I don't care - yesterday someone tried to get me a loan for originally 15k and then the money going toward the loan company was 5k which brought my total to 20k NTM 5% interest over 144 months.... Theyre out here trying to kill us and this is just accepted as normal?

I saved up enough to where I was able to fully pay mine off before the COVID exemptions ended. So I had 0 interest which was amazing-that is the only loan I have ever done and it was for school. BUT I will say private loans are awful and I would try to avoid them as much as possible.

i was taught to never take loans, so i never did and never will

Never had to take a student loan and probably never will. I have a car payment and I hate the interest part of it. Good news is I should finish paying it off by the end of the summer, or at the latest by the end of the year, a year and a half (or less) from when I originally bought it.
