I saw a translation that said it will be four members and debut in the first half of 2024.

Considering the kind of songs Brave Bros is most known for (Hyuna's Ice Cream, Hello Venus's Wiggle Wiggle, AOA's Miniskirt, Dal Shabet's Someone Like U, Sunmi's Full Moon), I'm hoping the group is age appropriate for whatever they release.

It's almost like we're circling back around to second gen vibes again where all the groups had secret weird meanings like U-KISS being short for Ubiquitous Korean International Idol Super Star lol.

I'm not sure what to make of this one. Youth and candy suggests the group will be young, but this idea of the idols being, like, goods in a shop (plus Brave's general vibe) suggests more mature.

Agreed! It's not bad on it's own, but whether it stays that way is context dependent to me. I think Brave Bros has a lot of bops, but there's also a reason they're given to groups whose members are all adults. If they want to do what he's most known for and be an idol ~Candy Shop~ and go the sexy AOA Hair Short route, fine. If they want to emphasize the youth part of the name and everyone gets a bright concept, also fine. Hell, I'd be down for another Orange Caramel where they're just kind of eclectic weirdos.

What I can't take is another group of, like, 14 year olds singing about licking your lollipops or something.

Let's hope Brave Bros picks an appropriate age/concept match. I want to be excited for incoming bops, because his music has held up so well over the years, but we know how companies can go "Oh,I had no idea anyone could possibly take this inappropriately" while totally doing an obviously sketch thing.
