How many alphabets do you know? (1 Viewer)

If I want to be a bit cheaty (ie count alphabets that are very similar) then 5: English (duh), Spanish, German, Russian, and Korean. If we don’t count alphabets that are super close to another then 3, the above minus German and Spanish I did try learning Japanese and Arabic but Japanese faded out of interest and Arabic was too hard imo.

polish, english, gaj's latin and bulgarian (altho its been a minute since i actually used it so), the first three originated from latin tho and they are pretty similar with a few differences

No, I mean that letters have multiple forms. I could get past that if they were easily differentiable but when trying to read whole words I had a hard time telling which part was a single letter because it looked like 2 of one letter or one of a different letter and so on. I’m used to alphabets where the beginning of one letter and start of the next are very distinct, with Korean even their syllables are distinct. So it’s mostly the cursive nature of the writing. Even with cursive English there are times I can’t tell for sure at first which letter it is but I know the words easily enough so it becomes clear quickly. I was very limited in my knowledge of Arabic words so I didn’t have that cushion.

OHHHH lol that was my problem at first too, you just really focus on that dot for some letters

4 and a bit: english, japanese, korean, hebrew, and some greek and russian (i haven't practiced in years tho so i don't remember much lol)
if we're including languages with similar scripts, then french, spanish and yiddish too.
ig it's 6 tho if you count katakana/hiragana/kanji as different alphabets.
