Lim Seowon, who is about to make her official idol debut as a member of UNIS (formed through "Universe Ticket"), will graduate from elementary school today (Feb 7th)

On the morning of Feb 7th, Lim Seowon will attend the graduation ceremony at Garak Elementary School in Songpa-gu, Seoul, decorating the last memories of her elementary school days.

In 2020, as a 3rd grader, Lim Seo-won gained recognition through “Miss Trot 2” and made her official debut in the music industry the following year. She has been actively engaged in various activities, including broadcasting and musicals. Despite her busy entertainment schedule, she has been diligent in her school life.

In particular, on the graduation day, members of UNIS, including Jin Hyeon-ju, Gehlee Dangca, Bang Yun-ha, Elisia and Oh Yoon-a, who were selected through SBS’s girl group survival audition program “Universe Ticket” and are scheduled to debut under F&F Entertainment, will attend the ceremony.

she's thirteen, though - debuting kids barely into their teens isn't ideal, but at least she's not like ten or younger. And grade 1 in SK doesn't start til you're seven, so when she said she was in third grade when she won that thing, she was already nine.

I've always said I have nothing against idols who debut young - it's their choice
you either knowingly debut knowing all the shit that happens to younger idols in which case that's an informed choice
or you don't in which case you made a reckless choice

if this group is a standard 7 year contract then post first contract she would be younger/around the same age as the likes of jisoo/irene/nayeon were when they debuted that's an entire contracts worth of potential earnings...

I think their contract is only 2.5 years long but they won’t debut till March.

This is a 2.5 year contract and the leader is 9+ years older. the bulk of the group is very young.
