Today, most of the US and Canada had daylight savings, moving 0 KST 1 hour later for the areas that use it. So if you live in one of these areas and your old KST time was 10 AM, it would now be at 11 AM. Please take note of this when converting between time zones.

Day light savings time needs to die a painful death. It's a testament to how stupid and useless politicians are that we still suffer from it.

I thought it's businesses tats keeping it going(theres no daylights saving near the equator, tho we had a time skip some 30 years ago n now jumped 30 minutes before/after our latitude neighbors-tho 1 neighbor jumped to our time too; sunset is wayyyy late this time of year)

I think its that there's many steps to go through to get it reversed and politicians just can't be bothered

Huh, i thought i read/inferred tat some businesses lobbied to keep DST n ordinary citizens who hate it hv no lobbying power/arent listened to as much by politicians(effectively politicians arent motivated to jump thru hoops to eliminate DST lol)

It could be that too, but they have passed the senate stage at minimum 2 separate times. It just fizzled out later on. Europe is having the same problem, I’m not that familiar with their system but my impression is that lobbying is at minimum less aggressive there and less corporate based. Could be wrong though, it is possible its at least part of the problem there as well.

The only way daylight savings time affects me here is when i was still playing an online mobile game n when i skipped time, we(players) were able to get gems(or gifts) during the limbo time when out of sync with the rest of the world or sthg for one hr when (i think) the servers glitched or werent coping with the time change. The European Union is the part of Europe that have made some progress to eliminating DST, so all the countries that are a part of it would change together. So I think that’s unlikely to be the case in Europe. Especially given that a couple countries outside the EU have switched to no DST, and they function with countries they border that do have DST still. For Canada though the neighbor part is part of it. From what I know certain parts of Canada ruled that if the US gets rid of DST then those parts of Canada would switch as well to match. So now it’s in the US to do so.

we are rebels and never switch.
But it can mean i have to get up earlier to sync with the east coast ppl.

lot of times i start work at 5 am in DST months.

BTW its STILL not spring.. so spring ahead does not work.

Adn its safe to say they are not getting rid of it any time soon since they just keep extending it.

Remember it used to be may thru October.
then it was late April to late October
then early April to late October
now its early March to mid November.

all this for no significant energy savings or differences in traffic fatalities. but business made more....

that is what ya get when ya let pinheads in government run your life.
