How do you do oral presentations? (1 Viewer)

I have one a week from today and I am writing cue cards so that I am not reading directly off the slide (or putting too much information on them). I am nervous about it tho ​

Do not write what you want to say word for word. Que Cards should have just the main info written in a way to jog your memory. Practice in front of a mirror then move on to family and friends. Ideally practice enough that you don't need your que cards. Then once you do your real presentation and nervousness kicks in you can use your que cards to fill in the gaps a nervous brain creates. Lastly, no one is really judging you or how well you do. Honestly, most don't actually care except for the teacher. Your amazing and will blow this out of the park!

Yes but I do better when it’s not memorized and I just need a basic idea of what I’m going to say

when I’m more hyper than shy winging things while seeming like I practiced a lot and being charming is a legitate skill of mineand one of the few things about adhd that comes in handy

I haven't done a presentation since high school 20 years ago lol but yeah, cue cards aren't supposed to have everything you want to say on them. They're just supposed to jog your memory, hence the CUE cards. Also, practice at home - in front of a mirror, in front of your parents, and then in front of your whole fam (if applicable). You got this!
