Have your preferences toward certain concepts changed from the time you first listened to Kpop?

Mine have changed a lot, at least for ggs—

For girl groups: Girl crush used to be my favorite gg concept, but I'm lukewarm about it now... In the last year or two, I started liking sexy, dark, or ethereal/ innocent concepts more.

Spoiler: examples

EXID, AOA, Fiestar, and BEG were the groups that shifted my interest toward sexy concept.

Dreamcatcher has a dark concept I believe.

WJSN, Oh My Girl, Loona, and GFriend made me interested in ethereal/ innocent concepts.

If anyone has more ethereal concept suggestions besides the ones I mentioned, please recommend!

For boy groups: My preference has stayed the same. I've always liked these concepts...

My preferences havent changed much overall, though i think i have gotten more into ggs and less bgs now. I feel like im more accepting towards concepts.. though pickier towards music.

I agree with this one, definitely. I used to listen to just about anything, but I shuffled an old playlist and I don't understand how I liked some of the blander songs.

so I dont really pay attention to concepts, if I like the song, the concept doesnt matter

I don’t care about concepts as long as the music is good.

For me, I don't rule out groups based on concept (ex. I still like girl crush groups, despite not caring for gc as a whole).

But I do prefer a certain sound that comes with a concept. Ethereal concept groups have whimsical, light, fantastical music that I like.

I'm not sure how to explain, haha >.<

I don't think there's ever been a certain concept i liked, since I stanned snsd as my first group, which has done just about every concept out there. I think through the years I have become more open to soloists though.

Sadly, none, that's why I'm suffering!
Whenever a group posts teaser concept photos that hint of this, I get hyped!
But then MV is out and I feel betrayed... every single time... it's sad

It’s funny because I preferred the bright concepts for BG and now I prefer the dark ones and for GGs, I used to be more into the badass concept with a group like 4minute and now I prefer cute, retro and dreamy concepts.
