What confuses me is that the page I linked has a full summary of the press conference and doesn't mention that. So where have people gotten that? I'm not saying she didn't say it, but I want to know the root source they're pulling from.

From memory, MHJ didn’t specify Kkura/Chaewon as being too old-she only mentioned SouMu trainees (apart from Minji) as being too old/not fitting into her ideas/concept so she chose Hanni, Hyein, Haerin n Danielle(also not mentioned by name in MHJ's press conference, at least not in this context).

FYI I waded thru over 800+ comments elseweb on day 1 of this n I can't retain all the meanderings of MHJ, HYBE's plotting plus historical facts re: SouMu/ADOR timeline so don't take my word for it without chkg for yrself.

Just reminded it coulda been different/HYBE might let Gfriend continue. As Community TV show might put it, we aint living in an ideal timeline(thankfully not in the most terrible/worst timeline by far, still...)

Well, it's the bit about Sakura/Chaweon being "too old", because it materially contradicts the account given by the newspaper: That Le Sserafim was developed independently, without her knowledge, not that she was offered Sakura/Chaewon and rejected them based on age.

now I don't know if someone from Hybe has contacted them but if I was hybe/BSH I would have already to get their opinions on things...
