BREAKING: Hive announces interim audit results “Securing evidence of plan to seize control of Adore” [Official]
[News Reporter Lee Min-ji] Hive disclosed the results of an interim audit regarding an attempt to seize management rights from its subsidiary Adore.

According to the audit results released by Hive on April 25, Hive confirmed the specific facts that a plan to seize management rights was established led by the CEO of Adore and also secured physical evidence.

During the investigation, one of the audit subjects submitted information assets containing plans to seize management rights and contacts with external investors as evidence, and also admitted to writing a Hive attack document for this purpose.

According to the face-to-face investigation and the conversation transcripts included in the submitted information assets, Adore's CEO instructed executives to prepare a way to pressure Hive to sell its shares in Adore.

In accordance with this instruction, methods for terminating the exclusive contract with the artist and invalidating the contract between Adore's CEO and Hive were discussed in detail. There were also conversations such as, 'Let's bring in global funds and make a deal with Hive,' 'Critical appeal for everything that Hive does,' and 'Think of ways to harass Hive

The conversation log also contained action plans such as ‘preparing for public opinion in May’ and ‘making Adore an empty shell and taking him out.’

Hive also obtained a statement from the audit subject that "The wording 'ultimately exiting Hive' is a transcription of what the CEO of Adore said."

Based on the data, Hive plans to submit a complaint on the 25th against those involved on charges of breach of trust.

Hive said, "We plan to do our best to provide psychological and emotional care for the New Genes members and support them for a successful comeback in the future. We also plan to meet with the members' legal representatives as soon as possible to discuss ways to protect the members."

Park Ji-won, CEO of Hive, said, "We apologize to our fans, artists, and members for causing concern due to events that occurred in the process of upgrading the multi-label." “I will do my best to ensure stability,” he said.

What is it with Hybe and Girl groups????
glam
gfriend
lesserafim
nj
illit

is it just me or is there a trend here?
Hybe really being the company version of my exes were all crazy. :pandatea:
The irony is if HYBE hadn't bought/took over/invested in SouMu-Gfriend wouldn't hv a scandal on par with this mess(irony being Gfriend wouldn't be connected to HYBE at all, if memory serves me-tho GLAM being linked to Bang is historical fact, I think)

those are past scandals...

they need modern 2024 scandals!!!

I've said elsewhere that all of hybe's idols and hell even non-hybe ones should come out with dating news during this period...

no one would be paying attention lol
@RandAlThor @OnlyCalB
Dispatch only managed to report on Apink Bomi's 'dating scandal'/relationship in recent days is funny tho(not haha funny but good for bomi n her beau, funny tats all they found at this time)

hey hey hey LSM paved the way!!!
although I've had my fight with Hybe and kakao and SM and CL last year...

I got rid of her for a reason - she's Hybe's problem now lol
Didn't MHJ resign/got scouted/headhunted by Big Hit? Or was she "asked" to resign(similarly if reports now are accurate) n she just ran off(/found for herself) to greener pastures?(tho look now the grass isn't always greener)

has any producer ever left a agency/big 3 Co. n succeeded to be a company founder?(I dont mean Jay Park or Zico or Ravi, but maybe Brave Bros or similar (RIP Shinsadong Tiger).

CEOs/founders need financial acumen/deep pockets investors to thrive/survive as well as talent/creativity in kpop. Look at SouMu's So Sungjin n RBW WM Ent agreeing to buyout/investment after many successful years/singular gg success(but circumstances seem to be not much succession plans then or now(notwithstanding NJ being transferred to ADOR), lightning is rlly hard to catch in a bottle-whereas SM Ent, JYP, YG had/hv a proven track record of making succeeding/continually successful acts/performers until at least 4th/5th gen (or HYBE behemoth/IVE/FIFTY FIFTY era, I just mean big 3 seems outdated rn [IMO only] cause they seem rooted in 2000s/2010s thinking/strategy or even 1990s era cause tats when their founders started. Whereas younger(-ish) concepts, unsurprisingly are finding success connecting to tweens/youths born AFTER those founders' heyday(or didn't grow up surrounded by those influences).

Its hit n miss for me-i stan IVE but most 4th gen is just casually listen-able (for me, IMO only).

I'm at more than casual like frex Kazuha/Haewon but I'm not at stan/bias lvl rn.

Maybe if i were watching/following their shows/sns but mostly im in hybernation mode rn/for awhile now.

Wait for the ADOR/MHJ press conference in 12 [now] 7 mins(4pm? KST) peace out(for now)

Well... Hitman Bang himself, right? I saw a recent thread claiming he was a co-founder of JYP, but as far as I know, he was just an in-house producer.

Anyway, so, the conference:

There's a lot to parse here, but my interpretation is that Bang and Hee-Jin's differing creative visions for HYBE's first girlgroup is probably the foundation of the rift. It's clear the former wanted something edgier... Well, he wanted Le Sserafim, but Hee-Jin is a creative of immense self-importance who will not compromise (which is not a bad thing!). HYBE suddenly debuting Le Sserafim and almost scuppering NewJeans caused Hee-Jin to have a characteristic meltdown, and then NewJeans' ensuing sucess probably made Bang seethe.

I fully believe Hee-Jin's defence that all the "evidence" against her with regards to her trying to take over ADOR is basically just the average talk of disgruntled employees. At the same time, I 100% can see why HYBE exects would want to get rid of her lollol

I'm Asian in Asia(S.E.A) I don't stan any HYBE acts(only Gfriend if tat counts in any way, which I don't count but YMMV)- I read a real time Eng. trans (I didn't read it in real time tho at least not from the start or till it finished, only some in the middle-edit before posting, same link in ur post actually) her defense is basically (IMO) I [MHJ] am art trained (all paraphrased from memory), not business minded n I know abt FIFTY FIFTY , I'm not tat unaware/criminal mastermind to try wat I'm accused of.

I'll suspend final judgment until a criminal trial/court of public opinion has a final verdict but as an art trained myself, I lean towards a certain opinion(which don't mean squat legally)

Apparently the difference came from Bang getting hold of Sakura and Chaewon and wanting to put them in the final group but it seems like Min Heejin wanted a younger group and thought they were too old since even with Minji being 19 she said Minji was way prettier when she was younger which is certainly a choice. I don't know how truthful she is being though overall as some things she said just don't add up since in her timeline the creative difference happened and then Bang pulled away from the rest of NewJeans which led to her creating Ador even though she admitted she didn't want to be under Source Music in the first place and wanted her own label. She also sounded like she had such a massive ego saying she created Hanbok photoshoots with NewJeans which is just a lie and outright saying there has been no one in the 30 years of Kpop like her like she's not a trustworthy orator if she's just outright fabricating things like that and her opponent is Hybe who aren't exactly clean in that department either so the fact she's missing still is an achievement.

I have seen this elsewhere, but none of that is in the summary that I linked to. What is the source?

The Minji comment is from the full press conference she says other trainees were too old or not polished enough and then immediately said Minji was prettier when she was younger, the Sakura and Chaewon comment is the part of that I'm not sure whether that's concrete and why I put apparently for that.

What confuses me is that the page I linked has a full summary of the press conference and doesn't mention that. So where have people gotten that? I'm not saying she didn't say it, but I want to know the root source they're pulling from.

Well the root source would be her mouth since it's from the press conference but not sure why that page didn't write about it as I read that too however apparently it's a common thing to say in Korea so it might not be as weird as the direct translation sounds so the Minji point might be mute anyway.

Well, no, not quite, because for most of us there is a language barrier. I'm seeing claims about a press conference given in Korean from people who do not speak Korean, so I suppose to rephrase the question, where is that English transcript that people are using?

I am suspicious about it because it seems to conflict with JoongAng Daily's account:
3:44 p.m. “Anyway, Covid-19 came. [Bang] Si-hyuk and I started thinking differently,” Min recalls. "[Bang] Si-hyuk said that he didn't know what to say, but I had a clear vision of what I wanted to do. [Bang] Si-hyuk didn't really like it. There were differences, but the moment that it fell apart was...HYBE really needs to look back on its actions. How could you treat me like this?' What angers me so much is in June, or July, in 2021, soon after Park Ji-won joined a young company from a game company, he wanted to become close to me, so we became friends. We're similar ages, too. Ji-won and [Source Music Founder So] Sung-jin said that HYBE's first girl group would have to be a new girl group from Source Music with Sakura and [Kim] Chae-won. I swore at them, saying, 'Are you out of your minds?' The trainees all came to me because it was going to be a Min Hee-jin girl group, not a Source Music girl group. I never knew that they were recruiting Sakura and Kim Chae-won, but then they said they were debuting that group first. I said I was going to quit and open a press conference. Park Ji-won asked me what he could do to make up for the situation.”
