When it comes to kpop, what do think is more important? The visuals, or the voice? Do you like your ult bias for their looks, voice, or personality? Which one do you find more important?

tbh talent kinda comes first for me but i also like visuals. i dont think that anyone of us would be a fan of our bias if they were ugly... tbh thats probably what attract most fans to kpop. the visuals are amazing for not only their faces but their mvs, performances and concerts are also amazing. for me personally, my ult group is bp and my ult bias is jisoo. i love them for both their talent and personalities.

With groups it tends to be songs and voice, fir my ults though they tend to be incredible at one aspect (singing, dancing, rapping) but they also have amazing personalities which is how they became my ults.

Personality. If I like someone's music, but not their personality, it's a major no (Seungri). After personality, it's music. I mean, I can't stan someone's music I don't like. Then comes voice. I don't need people to have an AMAZING voice. Your voice can even be okay, or below average. As long as it isn't annoying or nasally, I'm okay. Lastly, visuals. Visuals really don't matter to me too much. But I am human, so of course they matter a bit, but not to the point that I won't stan someone because they're not visually attractive. When stanning someone, I really don't care about their visuals. It doesn't make them a better or worse person, so what's the point?

Personality is possibly the most important factor for me though as I don't want to stan someone if they have a shitty attitude regardless of how beautiful or talented they are. Then talent would be the 2nd most important factor whilst visuals is the least important factor for me.

Both of my UBs (Taeyeon & Seulgi) are known for being exceptionally talented but both are also the complete package as they also have amazing personalities and are popular among both male and female fans for their visuals.

Oh, do you think so? Maybe just not the people I've seen. But I agree, when it comes to marketing, visuals are highly significant.

yeah i mean i think it kinda applies to everywhere, the majority of celebs around the world are very attractive. the first thing that someone notices about another person is how they look. so when they see a video online of very cute kpop boys or kpop girls, theyre probably interested in them, they start to get to know about that idols talents and personality and start stanning. i think thats the scenario that a lot of fans go through when they first get into kpop.

Their personality might pique my interest for their music, but ultimately it is not the determining factor. Although a poor attitude (if they are mean-spirited, hateful, etc.) will make them off-putting.

For me it is a mixture of all of those things!

for my ult bias, I must first also like the group they are in! I mean, I want to like their music first!

Then they just have to stand out to me with their talent and personality. Like in a group like EXO where they are all ultra-talented personality also comes into play, while in Seventeen (at least to me) Woozi is stand-out talented.

For me I separate how I approach groups from how I approach idols I stan.

For groups, I don't need crazy talent but it's nice to have a decent level. And I have to enjoy the music. But for me yes, visuals and personality are most important.

For idols I stan individually. Talent, whether it's vocal ability or dancing, etc. doesn't factor in at all. I Stan idols based solely on visuals and personality.

I like to think it's her personality first that's the reason why I bias Jessica, then her independence n drive, then her voice n finally her visuals.

But wat do I know, I slept on SNSD for abt 9 yrs before stanning them/biasing Sica.

So I believe it wasn't their/her visuals cos I knew tat in 2009, or their voices or talents which I knew then too. Only when I discovered their dorky/unique individual personalities did I stan/bias her/them.

Somewat shortened w/Rosé, but I still don't know her tat well, sth abt her makes me bias her n not the rest of BP or anyone else in kpop.

Maybe it's just her visuals n talents n I'm just fooling myself.

Idk why I don't stan/bias Twice or RV as I know a little abt them n their even a bit dorky/quirky personality but I just don't.

They n others don't click w/me to make me stan/bias them at all.

It's puzzles me how to explain it. Maybe I'm just been programmed tat way.

looks have no influence for me.
but then i never got into kpop for the visuals came for the music stayed for the music really.
But Kpop itself have a strong visual attraction so its not a surprise that alot of people are taken in by visuals to begin with.
Personality was a thing in my early kpop days as I watched more variety 9 years ago, but I cant commit myself to the uncertainty of idol personalities, after all a large part of being an idol is maintaining an good image.
