NewJeans member Dani pens letter to ‘mother and warrior’ Min Hee-jin

Danielle of girl group NewJeans wrote a handwritten letter to her "mother and warrior" Min Hee-jin, showing the quintet's strong relationship with the ADOR CEO despite ongoing ordeals.

Min uploaded a picture of Danielle's letter on Wednesday night on her Instagram account with only a heart emoji as the caption.

The letter went on to thank Min for "always being dedicated to the work" and consoled the ADOR CEO through all her "hardships," which were not specified in the letter.

"You know that we're always on your side, right? You're my family," wrote the NewJeans member.

"Whatever you choose, I want to be together with you. I want to stay by your side, even if I'm not much help. I always pray for you, support you and love you."

The letter came amid Min's escalating conflict with HYBE, the majority shareholder of ADOR. Min has reported five HYBE executives for defamation and for leaking her private messages to the press, while HYBE and two other HYBE subsidiaries — Source Music and Belift Lab — have reported Min for defamation, disruption of business and breach of trust.

Min attended the first questioning session at the Yongsan Police Station last month, but police hinted that they may summon her again for additional information.

that's because you and I are basic level poens in the grand scheme of things (unless you aren't and are more high up)
I'm sure MHJ has access to a lot more resources to fight any potential firings

but yes both Hybe and MHJ are problematic and it's really a race to the bottom (I know we've seen some low low stuff so far) but I'm pretty sure we haven't hit rock bottom yet

tbh, I don't think it's because of this tho, as funny as that would be. I don't think it's related to the US recession fears and the unwinding of Yen carry trades that have spooked markets either tho.
I think it's probably a combination of their Q2 net profit - reported on Wednesday - being down 85.9% YoY, and investors reflecting on the fact that Suga apparently travels around without his entourage/security.

Although I wonder if people are thinking that this ties in with the LA mansion that Bang PD obviously embezzled company money to buy. Like, maybe they thought there might have been a legitimate reason for that expense before and now they're looking at the situation and being like... "no, that's a sex pad..." lollol

The stock situation is interesting actually. People keep bringing in graphs from the beginning of the year and saying the whole industry is down and JYPE is doing the worst. Actually, there was a bubble in 2023 that has burst. JYPE's stock rose highest (in percentage terms) during that period, and so they had furthest to fall. When looked at over three years, though:
JYPE is up 27%
SM is up 4%
HYBE is down 42%
YG is down 42%

And that's even with SM also being embroiled in corporate turmoil.

I don't have any answers as to why, for any of this. It's obvious HYBE is poorly managed, but they've got a new CEO and have announced corporate restructuring. The only complaint I'd have is that HYBE America is dead weight. But that's why I'm not a trader!
