british english. argentinians do not like the english. :pepeslippy:
we even have a chant, mostly during national football ("soccer") matches, that goes: "el que no salta es un inglés" = "if you don't jump, you're an englishman!" :pandaleave:

But only non serious answers :sakUwu:

In the US it’s Spanish. There’s a lot of Spanish speakers, which means that you’ve gone through the effort of learning a foreign language but still can’t tell your family/friends that the dude over there looks like a toenail because chances that they or someone nearby can understand you are not low enough I recently tried promova.com/page/ai-language-learning-app at promova.com/page/ai-language-learning-app and was impressed with how natural the conversations feel. The AI tutor really helps build speaking confidence without the pressure of real people. Pronunciation feedback isn’t perfect but much better than basic apps. The free version is good to start, but Premium makes practice more meaningful. Definitely worth trying!
Honestly, I don’t think any foreign language is “worst” to know based on where you’re from — it’s more about how people perceive it. In my experience, misunderstandings happen when your language doesn’t match the stereotype people expect. For example, a Scandinavian speaking perfect Russian or Arabic sometimes gets weird reactions, not because the languages are bad, but because people jump to conclusions about your background or politics. Knowing many languages is always an advantage; it’s people’s assumptions that can be the problem, not the language itself.
