i guess i'm in the middle too but my morals and beliefs are still mainly conservative. a good amount of my interests are largely liberal based.
Fair enough. I don't mind too much as long as you're not a jerk about it (you aren't, no worries about that) and it makes you happy. A lot of mine are too. I don't know, I just like what I like.

The thing about political conversation nowadays is it has become heavily centered around human rights so it's an easy area for people to suddenly become super heated and has led to a massive divide in liberal and conservatives which isn't a surprise since people have fought for and died for some of the things we have today.

I don't know if it's obvious by your account that you're female so take into account people may have assumed you were male and into theater which isn't seen as something that aligns with conservative ideology of how men should be today generally being pushed as being into manly things while looking for a stay at home wife pretty much.

People will assume the worst of your opinions if you open yourself up by saying what political stance you have because generally the worst political opinions get the most attention so you automatically get applied the terrible opinions people have seen regurgitated by others.

my whole family is conservative but compared to all of our church (it's mainly elders 60+) there's only two families, including mine, that don't follow along with the traditional conservative ideology. We're more open and accepting. We think that men and women don't need to fit into their "gender roles". Take for instance, my family loves to see men in ballet while others at our church think it's non-masculine. We understand that it takes a lot of muscle strength and flexibility to be in ballet, especially if you're a man and they are still 100% masculine even when they're doing something like that. That just goes over their heads.
I'm not exactly sure what you meant by that it's obvious that I'm female (I mean, I do have that on my profile on the gender thing), but I haven't had anybody online confuse me for a male, I'm confused on what you meant T^T i'm sorry

Yeah your family is definitely gonna be in the minority for thinking that way as I think you'd even find liberals who'd accept it but not sure they'd exactly understand it.

As for your gender I have had it where people assume I'm female when talking to me because of Kpop so it's possible that they assumed you were male if they just saw your comment as most people on the internet are male which affects the perspective.

what i mean by not getting political is saying good or bad about trump or harris. i really don't want people talking about them on here bc i don't want to possibly get in trouble so i'm trying to avoid that topic, but talking abt the less political but still political topics is what i'm asking abt. I'm sorry
then just write don't talk about trump or harris
you do realise there are many political topics that don't involve politicians

you didn't answer my last question - what are some of your more conservative views since like I said conservatism and liberalism has a HUGE range to them

staying strong to morals and religion but also being respectful and accepting of communities, races, and people with different views.
still not supporting lgbtq+ but not hating them and still being loving and accepting of them. not turning them away or treating them any differently.
being accepting of other people's views, beliefs, and morals without forcing our own on them.

I'll try to break it down my friend

1. strong morals - obviously depending on what those morals are but morals are good but the issue is one doesn't need religion or conservatism to have morals

2. depends on the religion - for example there are some religions that are very anti LGBTQ there are religions that are very anti abortion there are religions that are very "my way or the highway" - my major issue with religion or religious people is that they will use religion to "get what they want" or think their religion is the best for ALL people. I'm not saying your religion is like that since I don't know your religion nor you enough to judge. The best religions are the ones that help other people don't judge others for their believes and basically have a live and let live perspective (see Sihks) but I don't know enough aabout your religion or yourself to judge you but I hope you understand what I'm saying

3. respect is great - if your religion (or yourself) is of the mindset that let others live and pray and believe what they want to believe that's cool

4. LGBTQ - I'm probably going to go out on a limb different to most of my other peers on KPS but I'm going to say that indifference is the best thing anybody can be with respect to LGBTQ rights if you don't support them. Just treat LGBTQ people like anybody else one is indifferent too

5. similar to 3 - accepting other people's differences is great - you do your shit and other people do their shit and we all get along!!! lol

to sum up you don't sound as conversative as you say - to me you seem more center (but that's just me)
