Hello, I've been absent for a moment and feel like some of the newer peeps don't know me yet.

So I figured it might be time to reintroduce myself.
I have been into k-pop since 2nd generation.
One of the first groups I really got into was SHINee.
I miss the old Kpop days but I enjoy every generation as there is something in each one for me.

I am also very much a sarcastic person.
I don't think it reads well sometimes over the internet HENCE my overuse of emojis


Also, I am constantly sick.
Constantly having a mid-life crisis
and constantly bullying @Day
but don't take it seriously-I love that hoe.

@Ahsoka is in charge of keeping me in check as well.

TBH, nothing breaks my heart more than a newer gen fan bringing out "stats" that didn't exist in second gen and using it to suggest that SNSD or Big Bang or whoever was never THAT big.

TBH, nothing breaks my heart more than a newer gen fan bringing out "stats" that didn't exist in second gen and using it to suggest that SNSD or Big Bang or whoever was never THAT big.

Even though I don't even like Super Lady by (G)I-DLE you are LYING if that isn't paying homage to 2ne1. Wondergirls, SNSD, and Kara were international names as well. It's so weird to see newer fans think they didn't have an impact.

Right?! Or I remember Orange Caramel proving that subunits could be successful, sometimes even more than the OG group. Subunits weren't really a done thing before then, and now there are entire groups whose concepts revolve around creating different subunits.

Oh don't get me started on Infinite or Girlsday. Girlsday was one of the first BIG 180s concept wise and they pulled it off. Infinite was one of the first smaller groups from a smaller company to gain traction-I mean the fucking scorpion dance is STILL iconic.

And probably the OG, Suju's KRY, and later T, M, H, D&E, LSS... I remember SNSD famously saying once that they didn't have subunits because you can't divide the group... but it was probably more because subunits were generally not profitable until more groups like Orange Caramel proved they could be. Heck, KRY didn't even have their first non-OST single until after OC debuted.

Oh don't get me started on Infinite or Girlsday. Girlsday was one of the first BIG 180s concept wise and they pulled it off. Infinite was one of the first smaller groups from a smaller company to gain traction-I mean the fucking scorpion dance is STILL iconic.

OMG, yes! I remember a friend telling me how "crazy in sync" the group was, and I feel like that added a lot to the expectations for dance focused groups to really deliver on that front.

And Girl's Day should be studied for their ability to go from one of the most mocked, disliked debuts to their string of hit songs. Their feather dance had everyone doing a prop in their choreo for a while there.
