If they allowed international fans to vote again in the future, they should probably count an international vote as 1/4th-1/10th of a Korean vote or something like that. It allows for more participation but also for Korean fans to have more control overall. Or they can have the 11th member of the group be 100% determined by international voting.

I agree that Korea tends to somehow make the line up work at the end.

But I don't know that Midam gave off such vibes to you, feels like we're watching a different show 🤔 Even though he's not in my 11 picks, I think he's pretty harmless, and just doesn't put himself out there to snatch attention as compared to others. But this might hurt him in the long run as nobody will bother to check him out to see what he's doing.

I don't hate him. He just giving me that aura. He's so different when I saw him at the video where all the trainees promoting themselves while holding the small triangular flag on that video he so innocent and harmless like he was on YG Treasure Box but on this Produce X 101 show, I find him so haughty.

I can't believe the Midam from YG Treasure Box and the Midam from Produce X 101 are the same person. It looks like they are different person with same name, the attitude and personality were opposite.

If Mnet is planning to have an international vote to put back again.

My idea is, an international fans should have their own time to vote. Like, If Korean fans have a full time to vote then an international fans can only have at least 30 minutes to vote.

I also dislike that we intl fans can't vote. In the long run it wouldn't be that much different then the votes of knetz. For a global group it's hilarious that just the koreans can vote. We don't need the same power as knetz, but at least let us vote.

Also if MNET is affraid their faves don't make it in the final line-up...they have the power to fake the votes?

I also did watch YG Treasure Box and it is true that the Midam from then are different then now - but it is good. The Midam from last year was in a bad condition. He didn't want to go trough the YG shit (the show was chaotic and overall not good. Also the votes weren't important). I think he is better now, but the editing on him isn't good or bad. I don't thinkt that the attitude and personality is different. Also we couldn't really see his personality on YG Treasure Box. He was there...one episode? or 2? And all we did saw was why he left.

Let us wait what we will see of him in the upcoming episodes. Still hoping that he can make the cut.

I agree with the bolded part. yes they tend to go with visuals more but at the end the group work it out. look at Izone, yes nobody wanted or expected such lineup but they are fine in my terms at least. they work together well (even tho I lowkey know mnet planned the lineup beforehand)
as for Midam, as much as I hate attention seeking it benefits you at the end. It's kinda smart ngl so he must like say some jokes or try to showcase and advertise himself if he wants to make it or be memorable for kfans.

They stopped allowing international fans to vote after the first season. Which I was fine with the second season because their point "Its Korea's national group" made sense. But this and the 3rd season both claim to want to be more international. So it's strange they haven't opened it back up.

Honestly, it wouldn't be a huge difference in trainees chosen. Looking at Soompi and Reddits polls basically the differences are YG trainees are more popular, as well as, talented but underrated trainees.

The top trainees in Korea are still in the top of intl polls. Also, there's just not that much of us voting to overpower the Korean vote lol

I can definitely see both sides of the coin but I think MNET doesn't want to risk having any chance of intl viewers changing up their preferred line up.

One good example would be, let's say Bighit chooses to send in a trainee in future... The intl fandom of BTS as we all know is massive and they definitely will tune in to the show and already have the trainee as a pick within the lineup. Not to say that MNet wouldn't necessarily dislike having this trainee but the opening of voting to international countries can be a hit or miss decision and they'll have to live with this decision for the contract.

In izone case, I do agree that the Japanese fandom should have a say in voting as they did ask for a collaboration with AKB producer.

That makes sense, maybe they think koreans votes are more predictable, controllable or just overall what they are also looking for. Also if they allowed i-fans to vote votes from China and SEA might easily dominate and add more chinese and south-east asian idols in the group.

Still, I think it limits the final group. Produce groups so far have been mostly just korean groups, I mean for korean audience. They haven't had lot of international appeal, not when compared to many others group that are out same time as they are. Like Wanna One was nowhere as big internationally as it was in Korea. Letting i-fans vote could produce truly global group whose popularity wasn't mostly limited in Korea. So when making national group it makes sense, but making global group it makes no sense cause the final picks won't represent global tastes.

For us a global group is not only for koreans, but also I-fans; with the possibility to have more foreign members to connect even more with i-fans. The focus are fans all over the world
I sometimes get the feeling that in terms of "global group" the meaning is different. Like the group is focusing on SK with the potential to be big outside of SK. The focus is 1) knetz 2)I-fans - which is totally fine, but with all the attention Kpop is getting lately, it would be better to really connect to I-fans too

They even tried to push W1 internationally, which was funny, lmao. I'm still mad that the only time they came to Europe was when I was outside of Europe and missed my only chance to see them. MNET just wants to push that view because of how badly W1 did outside Asia. My personal opinion is that they should promote in Korea and in other Asian countries, that's all. I don't see how this group will be more appealing to the international fans regardless of who makes the line-up.
