and did you do both preg/baby and abstinence or abstinence only?

I did both. Preg/baby came first, though, which I wish she would've done it the other way around and saved best for last. I think learning about what happens when you get pregnant and have a baby was far more interesting than stuff like STDs and abstinence and whatnot. which leads me to a third question - which one is more interesting to you?

We were taught about puberty and abstinence. My teacher skipped several “units” on safe sex practices and LGBT+ topics. Went to a Catholic school.

Went to a public school. We had sex ed with "abstinence is the safest form of birth control" emphasized, but they covered different forms of birth control, safe sex, pregnancy and birth, etc.

Which, in hindsight, I do not recall having a single pregnant teenager at my relatively large school, but my cousin who went to a small town religious school was the weird one in her group for not getting pregnant.

We had "puberty ed", which was... a lot (the teacher pointing at the off-white walls and exclaiming "these walls are almost the exact colour of semen!" scarred me a wee bit) but not proper sex ed, at a non-religious, generally pretty progressive private school.

Yeah my high school covered all of it. And I think the third or fourth year we were given baby dolls to take care of and they would cry very easily. They'd go off like car alarms. We'd have to then stick a specific key in to make it stop crying.

I was more delicate with the fake baby than any real baby I took care of.
Btw, I'm a wonderful aunt and raised many tiny humans throughout my life sooooooo

My high school was abstinence only and when girls would ask about their bodies changing we were told those questions were indecent.

We also never learned how to fully defend ourselves should the need arise.

Went to a private school and it was a 7-12 school. We had a human development class in 8th grade. They did go over puberty, STDs and reproduction.

We covered abstinence as being the most reliable protection, but also covered puberty, other forms of protection and their efficacy, STIs, anatomy, pregnancy, ect in detail. We also covered topics about LGBT relationships. I didn’t care all that much about it tbh. I paid attention to pass the class but it didn’t interest me any more than other units in health class usually did.

there was one at my school - I wasn't really friends with her per se, but she was in a couple of my classes

I didn’t dislike it. I had a slight interest the class as a whole. I just didn’t have any more interest in the sex ed unit vs other units in that class
