aw you have ocd too? I'm sorry, I'm exactly the same.. only I do it with my writing and poems....... It really sucks. Do you take any meds or go to therapy? that can be helpfulThis is kind of stupid to complain about, but I absolutely hate doing writing assignments. The reason why is because I always type something, erase it, write again, and then the cycle keeps repeating itself. And the reason why I do that is because I always get a negative thought or image in my head and I feel like I'll die or something if I don't erase it and type it again (with a good thought in my head). I don't really know how else to explain it. I seriously hate having OCD. It could take me hours to finish an assignment because it (and also from ADD).
I just needed to vent about this....
Thank you so much <3oh no cutie pie, I am sorry....... probably nothing I say can comfort you right now, I know this is really painful........ but please trust in time, it'll be okay I promise you. Sometimes no matter how well we treat someone, they will never care for us.. it's just life, I've learned it too. Clearly, you deserve better too. It's best to stay away and focus on the people who do care. I'm always here if you wanna talk *hugs* <3

Awh poor girlie.. I do that too, that exact same thing.. Maybe you can work your way to the ocd topic later onYeah I have ocd. I’ve had it since I was a child. I also had problems with writing things, erasing them, and then writing them again.
I don’t take any meds that are specifically made for ocd. I do go to therapy, but my therapist would rather focus on other things before my ocd. :/
I’ll try to bring it up to him again and see if it’ll get me anywhere. Thank you 💙Awh poor girlie.. I do that too, that exact same thing.. Maybe you can work your way to the ocd topic later on

I really need to vent about my OCD right now (again).
I had to do another writing assignment and it was frustrating. With my ADD I could barely focus on it, and with my OCD I kept erasing and rewriting things over and over again. I had to work on it on and off for hours. When I finally finished it, I could feel my heart racing a bit. It wasn't full blown panic attack though. A few minutes later I just had a breakdown because of it and because I kept thinking about the other things OCD does to me that I can barely anyone else because they probably won't understand. It's frustrating me so much.
A lot of my obsessions are so stupid. I hate them.
I'm afraid to even tell my mom these things because I know she won't understand it at all. I feel like she'll just blow it off and think that it's stupid. If I bring it up to my therapist I'm afraid he'll want to keep putting it on the back burner. I know that my fears are completely irrational, but I don't know how to stop giving into my compulsions.
- One of the things that bother me the most with OCD is having thoughts about me or a family member dying. If I think about it, my compulsions are to not look, and even breathe, at photos of people who have passed away. I feel like if I even breathe while looking at that me or a loved one will die. It's so stupid and irrational, but I don't know how to stop giving into the compulsions. I won't even try to listen to music or watch shows with people who have passed away.
- I also won't leave on any lights in my house if I leave. I feel like if I do something bad will happen to the planet somehow. I've had this obsession since I was a little kid and I still can't shake it off.
- I avoid certain numbers and colors because I think they're bad luck.
- I'm afraid to throw things away because I feel like something bad would happen if I did.
- I won't touch peoples hands because I don't like my hands to feel "dirty".
- I sometimes have to open and close things and plug things in and out of the wall if I have a negative thought instead of a positive one.
that's okay, in fact, I think it's beautiful :) Breathe, appreciate your gift of feeling everything so deeply, let today pass and a fresh tomorrow come... <3I think i'm too sensible today
I hope you have a good day too <3that's okay, in fact, I think it's beautiful :) Breathe, appreciate your gift of feeling everything so deeply, let today pass and a fresh tomorrow come... <3
it's okay to be like this, you didn't ask for this and I'm sure you'd give it all away if you only could.. try not to feel bad about that, it's hard enough as it is. I think you should try talking to your therapist and make it clear this is a big issue for you, if he's any good, he won't just dismiss it.. I'd suggest educating yourself about ocd first of all, find out what type of ocd you have. There's also cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) that you can try. I'll be honest, I gave up on it and I just give in to my ocd, it's really tough for me.. but it can help. What it means is basically that you recognize that you're having an irrational forced thought caused by a condition called ocd that you have, you tell yourself it's not you, it's your condition, and then you choose to do something productive in order to cope with it rather than giving in and doing what your ocd tells you.. in time, it should reduce the ocd
I'd recommend this channel, it's super cute and friendly and could be helpful

Thank you so much.
I’m working with a therapist that is supposed to be specialized in anxiety disorders. I’m gonna try to bring it up to him again this week and hope that he doesn’t dismiss it again. It’s making it incredibly hard to complete homework assignments (mostly with writing) and other daily tasks. I’ve dealt with it since I was a kid. Over the years my ocd has gotten worse and I need to make it better.
I’ll definitely check out those YouTube channels. I’m just desperate to get better at this point. 😓
