If they can put fromis in the teaser it seems they were able to negotiate the trademark away from Hybe which maybe is a good sign Hybe is learning as putting in a last ditch effort to get Gfriends was not a good look.

At the end of the day you can't just reuse the branding of a group that has an iconic lineup so if you aren't interested in keeping the members then the options should be selling the trademark straight up or taking a residual 5% or such of their income from their activities as otherwise the branding just dies and you'll get very little from having it.

I think HYBE is trying to seem like the good guy now that the NJ lawsuit is turning their way. Good will from fans toward a company is rare and in short supply. Especially if your HYBE.

Well I'm not saying they're doing it out of the goodness of their heart now as they are a company in the end so even if it's just to make what they can then it's as good of a reason as we're going to get and if the idols are happy with the outcome then that's really all that matters.
