I also love pastelitos too (my favorites are meat and chicken for savory and also guava and cream cheese for sweet *that is the only way I like eating guava and it reminds me of cheesecake in a way*)

Speaking of cheesecake. You know what sounds good.
Replace the guava with raspberry sauce and you got raspberry swirl cheesecake pastelitos. im hungry

It’s a well balanced breakfast choice.

I also like quipes (thanks to the Lebanese who brought Kibbeh to Latin America). Mine favorites are the regular beef filling and also cheese filling (it was basically like a mozzarella stick in a different form and different texture due to the bulgar wheat).

And also Dominican Empanadas but with the dough made from yucca (chicken filling and cheese filling are the best ones).

I know this because I was in DR last month for 10 days and had some of that food.
