Appreciation k-pop songs which sound like eurovision entries to me <3 (1 Viewer)

since we'll know who the eurovision 2025 winner is and that it's going to be czechia in less than a month and KS has a few eurovision enthusiasts here, i decided to mix the main topic of the forum with the beloved contest the entire continent is waiting for and share which kpop songs would be excellent eurovision entries... i already made a thread like that some time ago but i had more visions (no pun intended) when it comes to certain songs so here we go again

ONEUS - LUNA


one of my favorite kpop songs of all time - i can already see how this gathers a cult-like appreciation level the way albania's "zjerm" this year does thanks to the musical quality, clothing and instrumental and if they managed to incorporate the visuals in the staging then everyone would hype it up as the potential winner for months leading up to the contest. obviously as it happens with such entries, juries would tank it to uplift a basic ass radio song but at least they'd always have the legacy of being in the most upvoted comment on a "who's the most robbed eurovision entry?" social media post.

TAEYEON - SPARK


jury bait of the year! no but seriously, every year has that one vocally impressive entry which diehard eurovision fans think will flop while the "edgy" ones who hate novelty entries think that it will reach portugal 2017 levels of sweep because unlike some rim tim cha cha bastu kind of songs, it's "real music". it eventually ends up on a comfortable 3rd place thanks to that 200+ jury score.

ORANGE CARAMEL - CATALLENA


given that most of these so-called "joke" entries by fans are from unfunny men, this would stand out. it's quirky, it's catchy and gets your attention from the 1st listen. 300+ televote score and a landslide win, especially in 2000s eurovision where juries had no say. even decades after it would start a conversation on whether such entries make eurovision a joke and would be the entry people use to claim juries are the only tasteful and valid voting group (and whether juries are valid is what i'll decide based on how many points they give czechia this year)

SHINHWA - VENUS


i can already see how the esc audience would eat this up, especially if it was sent by sweden with some high budget staging that would make country-which-will-not-be-named 2016 look like child's play. now it probably would lose to some nothingburger entry but it's giving greece 2001 and sweden 2011 where people remember these non-winning songs more than whoever the winner was. and if you know who won in 2001 and 2011 it makes perfect sense...

SOYOU - GOTTA GO


THE girl bop of the year. it would probably gain a very loud and annoying fanbase on social media who claim people who don't like it just hate fun. it would also be either a top 5 song or a NQ - no in between. and given my country's recent history, i wouldn't be surprised if we - as the country who blessed europe with bejba - sent something like this again even though it's far from my eurovision wishlist after the traumatic experience of our 2023 NF

eurovision fans on ks, thoughts on my made-up result scenarios for those songs? any other songs you might add? i'm trying to get back into kpop and having some eurovision-ish songs to listen to would definitely help! also i need may to come... like right now. if upvoting every single prague 2026 comment i see on the internet wasn't so fun i'd just pretend i don't care about this contest so it loads faster

honestly same... if it were an eurovision entry i'd even spend my money to vote for it. it just sounds like the song that's meant to be performed on some giant european arena stage with a fancy staging and all that

The thing that I find kinda funny about this is the fact that Milan Stankovic, who represented Serbia in 2010, has a song called "Face" and the chorus is also a bit similar to NU'EST's song.

it could have won over the ride by rafał and i still wouldn't understand... okay you know what this one i would understand

but in general, even in the hot mess that 2011 was - it had some good songs like sweden or slovenia or hungary or that lovely elder man from bosnia or lena serving kant before anyone used that term which could have given germany a double win before their never ending flop era. and yet they chose a song which sounds like if you bought cześć jak się masz by s4nah and s0bel on shein and made it sound like a paradokument intro. i wasn't even surprised reading that they bought votes because i'd understand getting money to vote for it more than i'd understand spending money to vote for it.
