i do agree with some of the connets i read other places... Taeyeon has had plenty of opportunity to leave SM for useful management so she shares some blame in the repeated failures.

Ah yes, the Taeyeon cycle.
She complains about SM (rightfully so tbh), then resigns, then complains again, then resigns.

At this point, I'm curious why. Is it because she's comfortable or because she wouldn't have the rights to her songs she released under SM?
I do hope she won't resign with the renewal.
Clearly she's not been happy with SM for years. I hope she finds a company that respects her and listens to her

I'm guessing she either doesn't want to deal with the hassle or it's got to do with her songs.
idk about music rights but I think that as long as SM owns the rights to her songs, she wouldn't be able to use them?
And she has so many songs over the years, she'd basically start as a "new artist"

That could be it.
but you can still preform songs live if i understand the copywrite laws.
I am not sure there is even a fee like playing it on a the radio station.

Yeah idk about laws when it comes to music etc but there must be some reason why she stays and resigns even though she always shares she's discontent with SM.
Also, SM just lets her shade them.
Seems like they somehow need each other

Probably a mix of not wanting the hassle of looking for new company, her old songs under SM, also new new songs means hvg to look for new writers/composers/choreographers/designers and then hvg to look for new producers/set designers for concert tours. She kinda started late her independent variety life on Amazing Saturday but SM was giving her attention in 2017/2018 but after LSM stepped down n Chris Lee took over n ard then she was kinda taken for granted, more attention on newer generation/bgs.

It's tuff for solo females after gg goes beyond 10 yrs, heck idk yuju or yerin doing ok as soloist compared to how Gfriend 10th anniversary reunion-i think Sowon, yuju n yerin r all unsigned to any agency rn?
