Sorry I've been spacy lately - a tree fell on my house (1 Viewer)

@Moguri - Roof and inside repairs are done!! I decided to have my kitchen painted pink, figured if I have to paint it anyway, might as well brighten it up.

Still have siding, patio, fence, retaining wall, and rain garden to finish, but at least all of that is not in my house directly.

Yes! Definitely could have been worse, but the holes where the tree punctured the roof have been fully repaired now.

Really feeling lucky with the timing, as we just had a big storm last night, and several neighbors have trees down. At least I had mine come down when no one else really did.

My neighbor has a giant oak in his front yard, but I think it would likely fall more across the street than toward my house necessarily. His is the only one that gives me pause, but everything else is either not large enough to cause damage to my house if it falls towards me or is clearly leaning in a direction away from my house.

This will hopefully be a once-in-a-lifetime event!

Update for anyone who cares: insurance has finally approved the last of my contractors and made their final payout!

Expecting it'll be mid-November by the time my contractors can get me in for everything, so only five months, start to finish, but who's counting.

I'm so ready to be done and have everything put back together.
