So it starts off very fitting to Indiana, mentioning both Indiana and cornfields. Then it starts to get a bit nostalgic, remembering their mother from the past, and remembering strolling along the Wabash river, and then they start talking about a past love. A bit more weird, but nostalgia for a state/river in a state is still not too abnormal I guess.
And then they take inspiration from older people who just go way off topic and tmi and talk about how they loved this person but that person thought they were trolling ig and that they didn’t love her, and I guess she’s dead now because they mention a churchyard that she’s sleeping at? And idek if this is both the mom and the person they wanted to marry, or just the latter?
They go on to mention a couple sort of Indiana like things, like hay. Maybe a reach. But from what I gathered, Indiana has cornfields, hay, and people walking along riverbanks grieving loved ones/a loved one, and not getting over those deaths. I don’t live in Indiana but I’m just going to assume that not everyone in Indiana does that very often. The songs not bad, but why is it the state anthem?
