I don't get how people can only like one gender groups

Like how can you be an only girl groups or only boy groups stan?
Like you are only getting half the experience of kpop

Like if you say because of concept you aren't trying hard Enough

I think you should like both to get the whole kpop experience

I mean it doesn't have to be every group
I think we should appreciate both gender groups.

But what do I know I only stan like 85% of kpop

Tbh same, if u are stanning for music then limiting urself to just one gender doesn't make much sense to me.

But I guess some are more into the visual apartment and attraction factors, and then stanning just one gender - if u aren't bi or pan- makes sense.

Well I am strictly a girl group stan because the non music aspect of kpop doesn't appeal to me with boy groups but I still listen to music they put out just as a casual fan of the groups like I am with the girl groups I don't stan.

I mostly listen to girl groups but I never really decided to do so, I guess it just kinda ended up that way naturally? 😅 I have nothing against boy groups and I have mad respect for SVT for example :)

No gg other than dreamcatcher has released music that I consistently like enough to Stan them. I dont know what the reason for that is though, its not a conscious choice I make.

I listen to ggs more because I can relate to them more. Although I listen to shinee, nct, bts, & exo

I’m idk it’s just how the mind works I guess. There just somethings GGs have that BGs don’t that intrigue people and some things that BGS have that GGs don’t that intrigue people. It’s all subjective at the end of the day

But I don't really agree with most of what you said. I don't think people are only getting half the experience by only liking one gender of groups. There is so much content out there, it's impossible for anyone to watch everything. So in the end you're "missing out" on something anyway, since you can't keep up with it all. If you enjoy, say, only girl groups, then I don't think you're missing out if you choose not to watch anything by boy groups. People like what they like.
"If you say because of concept you aren't trying hard enough" Why should people have to try hard to enjoy something? It seems counterproductive. People like Kpop for entertainment, I don't think they should have to force themselves to try to enjoy aspects of it that they simply aren't into.

I know it can feel frustrating when it seems like people are missing out on something you enjoy, but at the end of the day, perhaps they simply are different and don't enjoy things in the same way you do. This goes for anything.

I know for me, I like both boy groups and girl groups, but 85% of the time, I'm following boy groups. This is for two reasons. First, I don't like female voices as much. Sometimes I even enjoy songs by girl groups more if someone has edited it to sound like it's being sung by males.
Secondly, it seems like girl groups don't come out on shows as often as boy groups do. I like getting really into groups, watching them play games, being on reality and variety shows. If a group doesn't have much for me to watch, then I'll simply move on to a group that does. It's easier to find stuff by groups like SNSD who are from a bigger company and have been around for years, but most of the time, there's a lot less to watch. (Although, to be honest, I might just not be that good at finding the right girl groups who have been on a lot of shows.)

No one’s stanning group with ugly boys they legally don’t count as a something worthwhile

I listen music by both ggs and bgs. I don’t stan bgs because I can’t relate to them as people. Are there some who I really like as people? Yes but it’s hard for me to get into a big. as a girl I just find myself gravitating towards girl groups because I find them to have really interesting personalities and it’s way easier for me to connect to them as people. I also think that ggs give more variety that bgs just don’t offer.

I only stan exo, they have diverse music and the vocals to back it, their try different concepts and set the trend, I love their fun and chill personalities.

I listen to others, some have one or two nice songs (regardless of gender), but never enough to keep me longer.

As for why other kpop fans listen according to gender, it's because of attraction.
