I'm most impressed by the artists who made this list with all of their albums being prior to the era of making 17 different variants of each album. And SNSD managing it before the real breakthrough of Kpop into the west.

This chart is pure digital sales, whereas units would factor in physical sales & streams. That's why most of the artists are of a particular era and why Taylor isn't completely dominating.

SNSD is still impressive there for a kpop girlgroup in terms of units iirc, third behind Blackpink and Twice respectively.

It's amazing to see SNSD be amongst veterans in western music. Truly shows they are the nations girl group

the gap between rihanna and tay is crazy especially given the fact that one of them hasn't made music for almost a decade and the other keeps churning out album variants like a fast fashion brand. congrats to snsd especially! it's a huge achievement to make it on a list featuring all these big names as a non-english group which started out in the late 2000s.
