The US flag used to have 15 stripes (1 Viewer)

In the US, it’s well known that the flag adds stars every time a new state is added, but it always has 13 stripes. The 13 stripes represent the 13 original colonies. But the second version of the US flag actually had 15 stripes and 15 stars. After that they reverted to thirteen stripes for future flags, thankfully.

he really needs to give up on both his whole greenland needs freedom is laughable because if greenland wanted they could likely get their independence from denmark quite easily, if they wanted

Could they? I think the more definite thing is that Greenland under US control wouldn’t have any freedom anyway

So the main concern is quality of living. And the quality of living would definetly be worse if it became part of usa than what it is now

Right, but this makes it sound pretty clear that it’s not so simple, otherwise they’d be fully independent already based in polling. And I understand that a lot of that has to do with the fear of living standards falling, but while not being as related to colonialism and its history it’s still a pretty big hurdle in being independent. And that’s assuming in the political side everything goes perfectly smoothly, which it never does.

uran dont know much ablut politics just pecs. all i know or rather think is that they are in better place under denmark. I am not a fan os usa tho so i might be euro biased Ofc i do wish that if they want independence they will achieve that, dont know how but still

Well yeah, that’s a pretty common opinion, and rightfully. I wasn’t questioning it the US would be better, I was just questioning if it’s truly easy for Greenland to separate from Denmark. That’s a completely different question. My feeling was that full independence wouldn’t be a piece of cake under either of those But probably easier under Denmark yeah
