Oh, I get why the members are doing it. I'm just musing on comments I've seen from other people about still supporting the group and cheering on the members, and it's like... but they don't want to be there doing this with this company. That feels strange.
jobs suck.
Full stop.
i also think Abe has a great point. What truth are they reacting too.

They are going to have to grovel publicly, for sure.
I would expect they will have to throw MHJ under the bus and back over her.
They cant blame their parents, so it will have to be her.
It's going to take a lot to get them in the good books of the public again but changing their perspective on Min Heejin is priority #1 of working towards that and then the apology tour they need to go on can start and if I was Hybe I'd consider mediation between the members and the other groups as I think the reality of how it has affected Le Sserafim and Illit will be a wake up call to their actions. Hybe is definitely hoping they can catch Min Heejin enough to get her a criminal charge more than just leaving her with nothing as even now she said in her statement she is confident she can just start again.

I find the sentiment coming out that Ador is going to terminate Minji, Danielle and Hanni pretty weird like yeah it's possible but I do not think it's as likely as some people seemingly want it to be unless they are just unreasonable which even then Hybe can afford to kill time by making a Haerin and Hyein sub-unit especially since at this point they hold all the cards as long as they are negotiating reasonably under the circumstances.

I think Minji and Hanni especially got on ppls nerves during all this, and that may be driving that sentiment.
Just thought of this with the 3 older girls clearly having to react to the younger ones going back.
I mean those 2 and the parent s were meeting with Ador for more than a week, and Cleary the other 3 were out of the loop and expecting the appeal to go forward( you don't leave the country with a drop dead deadline if your acting in good faith to solve problems.) And given the attitude displayed (ie the level of sheer pettiness and jerkdom of Hanni especially) , Ador may be worried about them bulling the younger girls alot.

Personally i think the level of passive aggressive behavior would be off the charts.

Oh I get people being annoyed with them and Ador definitely should be skeptical about their intentions given that I assume at the least when Hyein and Haerin expressed their intentions to return that Danielle and Minji didn't express the same intention believing the appeal would be happening hence why Hanni just went to Antarctica since clearly she thought nothing important would be happening. What I don't think people grasp though is yes while Hybe can sue for damages however realistically especially now 2 members are staying with Ador is that how much money will the members really bring in working outside of Ador? I think under the circumstances even after years the girls would be lucky to pay off 10% of their penalties where as even a less popular NewJeans would likely be able to bring in more money in a shorter period of time and Hybe just won't know how bad the damage is without testing the waters first.

Hybe will definitely have to keep a close eye on them even if they only retain Hyein and Haerin since while people may praise them because they returned first however it's not like they have been open to communication prior as if anything that would've been Danielle who has cooperated the most and she hasn't returned so trust will have to be earned and Hybe is going to pursue whatever will give them the most money the fastest like hell they even re-signed Min Heejin as creative director which has definitely been the most far out there thing in this whole saga by them.

I agree let em back but watch like a hawk. Maybe even have managers live with them for a year. Trust is broken and its clearly the girls who broke it.
The new portion of the contract will be heavy laden with conduct clauses. They will be the most locked down idols ever.

All contracts will change after this mess, and not for the freedom/ artists side. Call it the anti TVXQ effect.

One thing to note is this might be from the meeting on the 11th as they mentioned the individual meetings will be held the following week likely giving time for Hanni to return from her Antartica adventure.

I'd wait until Hybe releases a statement next week as while I wouldn't put it past them to ask before Haerin and Hyein returned and they thought they were negotiating as 5 instead those two had been talking for about a week already at that point however it'd be unbelievably bold to ask for such a demand when you're negotiating as 3.

What I do find interesting about Minji and Danielle at least with Hanni seemingly being on board with it asking for Min Heejin to be reinstated is that they now have different lawyers to her so someone on their side must have realized there is a conflict of interest in the girls having the same lawyers as her

Yep i read that yesterday. Hoping that maybe the naver article had info like you said from prior to the 2 resigning, and they are getting better advice.
now if they will take good advice that is the big money question.

The biggest sticking point is going to be getting them to believe that yes Min Heejin might have given them money, a lavish lifestyle, worldwide praise, etc. as CEO of Ador however she has also done a lot of bad that just isn't justifiable. I'll use a similar situation that I know of being Vince McMahon being ousted from WWE for allegedly sex trafficking someone which John Cena who he obviously owes the majority of his career to came out and said in an interview that he loves Vince which he's much older than NewJeans and that's an extremely wild thing to say.

Court finds Min Hee-jin planned NewJeans independence, boosting HYBE termination case

Court ruling that Min Hee‑jin sought NewJeans’ separation may strengthen HYBE’s termination arguments

The first-trial ruling in the ADOR–NewJeans case has been finalized. With the ruling finalized, the court’s finding that “former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin planned to make NewJeans independent” is expected to be used as a key basis in the lawsuits between HYBE and the former CEO. It could bolster HYBE’s claim that “there is cause to terminate the contract with the former CEO.”

According to legal sources on the 17th, HYBE is said to have submitted to the court on the 12th a preparatory brief citing part of the legal reasoning from the ruling confirming the validity of the ADOR–NewJeans exclusive contract, for use in its lawsuit against the former CEO.

HYBE is currently pursuing a shareholder agreement lawsuit and a stock sale price claim lawsuit against the former CEO. Both cases are proceeding before the same panel.

Earlier, in the ADOR–NewJeans lawsuit, the court held that “the former CEO prepared a media campaign, reports to relevant agencies, and lawsuits with the intent to separate NewJeans from HYBE.” As neither side appealed, the ruling was finalized.

The panel wrote, “(The former CEO) planned to create public opinion that HYBE had treated NewJeans unfairly by putting the parents of NewJeans at the forefront while staying out of sight,” adding, “It appears there was also an effort to look for an investor to acquire ADOR, and the former CEO’s conduct cannot be seen as intended to protect NewJeans from nonperformance of obligations under the exclusive contract.”

The finalized ruling in the ADOR–NewJeans case is highly likely to affect the lawsuits between HYBE and the former CEO. In the shareholder agreement suit, the key issue is which side first breached its contractual obligations and created grounds for termination.

HYBE filed a lawsuit to terminate the shareholder agreement, alleging that the former CEO breached the contract by, among other things, planning and attempting to pull NewJeans out.

The former CEO, meanwhile, argues there was no breach of contract and that HYBE’s notice of termination is invalid. Depending on the ruling on the legality of the termination, it will also be decided whether the former CEO can receive about 26 billion won from HYBE.

By invoking the legal reasoning of the first-trial ruling in the ADOR–NewJeans case, HYBE now has more room to actively argue that grounds for termination arose.

Had the ADOR–NewJeans case moved to the appellate stage, the facts surrounding the “plan for NewJeans’ independence” could have been reassessed. But with the ruling finalized, the opportunity to contest that has disappeared. While findings of fact do not automatically carry over to other rulings, they serve as important grounds in judging the overall case in similar lawsuits.

Given that the court accepted the former CEO’s attempt at independence as fact, it likely will serve as a key criterion in the HYBE–former CEO suit for determining which party first betrayed contractual trust.

When news broke of NewJeans’ return, the former CEO said, “The lawsuits between me and HYBE are entirely separate from and unrelated to NewJeans.”

A legal industry source said, “Because these are separate lawsuits, the panel is not obligated to follow the factual finding of a ‘plan for NewJeans’ independence,’” but added, “Factual determinations in finalized rulings carry high credibility and probative value.”

Attorney Kim Yeon-su of One Law Partners’ media and entertainment team said, “The Supreme Court has consistently held that facts recognized in a related civil case that has already been finalized become powerful evidence absent special circumstances, and cannot be rejected without reasonable grounds.”

Kim added, “Unless new evidence is submitted or different circumstances are revealed, the facts recognized in the first-trial ruling between ADOR and NewJeans can be considered powerful evidence in other lawsuits as well.”

Confirmation that Hanni is the one in Antarctica

"According to Star News coverage on the 17th, Hanni did not attend the meeting on the 11th between ADOR CEO Lee Do Kyung, the NewJeans members and their parents, due to being abroad. It is known that preconditions and requirements/demands for returning to the agency were discussed at this meeting. Hanni conveyed her inability to attend, citing her overseas stay as the reason.

Accordingly, the agency understands that Hanni was the 'member who was in Antarctica,' which became a topic when the three members declared their return. The agency plans to arrange an individual meeting as soon as Hanni returns to the country."

I did see someone bring up an interesting point regarding Hanni which she was the one having Visa issues that were somehow "fixed" supposedly but I don't believe we have any idea what that actually looks like

I'd be curious when the last time she was in Korea actually was since the visa issue coming up and her going from pretty much being the face of the controversy to nowhere does seem too coincidental to not have something going on

Well I would think that if they had shown enough self awareness to see their actions as wrong to begin to know she might want to avoid Korea but up until they actually lost they hadn't shown anything like that. Hybe will be able to get something pushed through pretty fast given their status though and the way the article mentioned they'll talk to Hanni when they can makes it sound like they might have talked to Minji and Danielle already and they just don't want to announce their decision until they've discussed with Hanni since information like that only comes from NewJeans or Hybe.

I need more tea!

lol found this in a comment of this video.

Insider talk basically places HH as being isolated from 3jeans for MONTHS now and Hyein's father has been trying to broker a deal for even longer. HH have always been virtually silent on the matter, the only times they have spoken at all about this was in the scripted press-conferences. I don't find it hard to believe they felt forced by MHJ, 3 jeans and yes even the families to say these things. I truly think they just want to move on. MDH however I don't trust at all
