My Favorite Scene From Goblin



Goblin is one of my favorite dramas of all time.

In my top 3.

I find it mysterious funny, exciting, beautiful, and oh so romantic.

The main love story between girl and Goblin is one of my favorite on screen romances of all time.

The entire show .. really moved me.

One scene in particular sticks with me so long after watching.

It's become my favorite scene from any kdrama ever.

My heart soars and tears threaten my eyes every time I watch it.

Spoiler: GOBLIN SPOILERS

After getting into an accident, and finally being released from the hospital.

Eun Tak heads to the ski resort to work through her emotions, thinking her connection with the Goblin is really over.

When Eun Tak is on the ski lift. She blows the match out, hoping... waiting... wanting him to appear, as he always does, just as he always comes to her....

But nothing.

He doesn't appear.

Just. Silence.



Eun Tak fights back tears at the realization... Weeping as the lift creaks forward.

She is heartbroken.... Believing their bond to be truly broken.



Until....

She looks ahead.....


There he is.

Waiting for her.


He came.

Just as he always does.

For her.

This scene is my favorite romantic scene in the film. I don't know why but it affects me so.

That feeling... That fear and that heartbreak at the realization that they aren't coming back. That you won't see them again. That moment it hits.... Just as you see in Eun Tak's eyes ...

Oh it gets me....

And that this scene ends with him once again coming. Her realizing their bond isn't broken.... It's just... It literally makes my heart swell up.

The First Snow that plays during the scene is so beautiful.

I love the whole thing.

I hated that the Reaper lost his memory.

Same here. The drama wasn't really for me but I really enjoyed the bromance and funny scenes.

I thought each individual character was amazing and unique but I didn't like the storyline that much. I actually loved a lot of the characters but I disliked the direction the drama was going in and I guess it just wasn't my cup of tea. I particularly enjoyed the Grim Reaper's character though and the romance he had with Sunny.

Yes, and they really did have a great brotherly bond and I don’t really mind that reaper had lost his memories since it made their story arc deeper meaning.
