gonna be honest Imma say that growing pigs in a clean environment with good food will naturally lead to clean meat - as with any animal.

pigs are just.... less picky.... when conditions get harsh, leading to the perception of being... unclean. (they eat bodies too so I can see why - mafia used to try to dispose of bodies this way.)

And Reminder: always cook pork thoroughly before eating.

only when made suuuper hungry. I believe the stereotype started when local fishermen would starve the fishes and then throw in a cow to impress visitors. of course the cow was stripped bare - they were starved for days!
