Cube Entertainment has confirmed that the entire North American leg of i-dle’s “Syncopation” world tour has been canceled.

Several days ago, ticket holders for the North American stops of i-dle’s ongoing “Syncopation” tour unexpectedly received notification that the concerts had been canceled.

On April 20, MyDaily reported that Cube Entertainment had officially confirmed that all of the group’s scheduled concerts in Canada, the United States, and Mexico would not be taking place.

“After comprehensively considering the direction of [i-dle’s] global activities, local scheduling, and all other circumstances, we decided to reorganize the North American tour,” stated Cube Entertainment. “We are currently preparing so that they can meet their local fans through even higher-quality concerts and a wide variety of activities.”

As i-dle has been confirmed to be making a comeback in July, it is said that the cancellation of their North American tour—which was scheduled to kick off on August 2—will allow them to carry out their comeback promotions on a more relaxed schedule.

That's a pity. It seems strange to cancel an entire tour just to provide more space between an album drop and touring... You'd think their tour preparations were already well underway at this point. And an album into a tour is pretty common.

I highly doubt Cube is worried about overworking their idols so maybe its a financial issue or the members put their cute feet down and said no?

That seems more believable to me than the initial release being all "oh, we just thought we should space things out more!" It's not like canceling and rescheduling a tour is a thing that is done on a whim.

Plus, just to be frank, they might sell better coming off a more positively received comeback than the kind of lukewarm responses Mono and Good Thing got.

one question I do wonder though is whether kpop companies have a meeting with the idols to determine the potential venue sizes of the tour since I'm pretty sure things like duration and frequency of the tour will be discussed but the actual bookings of the venue size - hlls-arenas-stadiums etc etc

she's already in China like half the time lol (as she should considering she probably makes a tonne more there through deals and sponsorships and variety shows compared to SK but she likes Idle and kpop so she stays

not really a fan of their music since soojin's departure but selling so low you have to cancel the tour has to be a humiliating experience that i wouldn't wish on any artist. at least the excuse seems realistic unlike one pop singer from my country who cancelled her show in my city due to low ticket sales and then claimed it was because she was devastated over pope francis dying

really? it would seem they had gotten more success post soojin and their music since (at least for a few comebacks) resonated more with the GP but then again different strokes for different folks...

I think with the cost of living these days and the prices of fuel and everything going on maybe cube overestimated their appeal????
